Nice Paint to Work With
I purchased this paint after having bought a more expensive paint that I was very dissatisfied with. I am very pleased with how nice this paint is to work with. It seems to go on even and doesn't easily run. As the directions state, use several thin coats. The metallic color is very nice. To me, it has somewhat of a pewter color, which is what I was looking for. I painted a vintage lamp base with this paint and it looks great and very professional. It drys quickly and again, has a very nice color to it. I would definitely purchase this paint again, and anybody looking for either a dark steel or pewter metallic finish for a DIY home project, I would highly recommend.

Great! Easy and fast
Great! I wasn't expecting our project would end so good. First layer went smooth. Second layer brought shinning to it! Amazing! Try layers, and moving it side to side. Do not spray it directly. Try following their video. Take your time. Be ware of wind and debris. Fast delivery. Lime it has a little thing yo keep it closed and secure.

Nit quite black but paints amazing.
So it spreads amazing and looks pretty dam good but. This is not black. I had to actually repaint a last coat on this because the third bottle was pretty much gray. The other bottle was more of a gun metal gray or something and I would say this is like between a gun metal gray and black. Again one was like a dark gray. But that being said the paint spreads great its really hard to mess up the paint. It spreads really good. I am very impressed with that. The running boards is what I painted. Black or dark gray. Images included.

Easy to use
This color is beautiful and the sprayer is much easier to use than the old school spray cans. Will definitely buy again.

Perfect for Matching Copper Brushed Bronze Décor
I’ve been on the lookout for a spray paint that matches my copper brushed bronze décor, and the Rust-Oleum 249131 Universal All Surface Metallic Spray Paint in Oil Rubbed Bronze was a perfect match! It blends effortlessly with the other bronze accents in my home and gives off a sleek, sophisticated look that complements my indoor décor perfectly.Application and Finish:The Rust-Oleum spray paint applies smoothly and evenly, and I really appreciate how easy it is to work with. The oil rubbed bronze color gives a luxurious metallic finish that closely resembles copper brushed bronze, which is exactly what I was hoping for. It dries quickly—within about 20-40 minutes, allowing me to move on to the next step in my project without much downtime.Durability and Protection:One of the standout features of this paint is its rust-resistant qualities. It provides a durable finish that not only looks good but also helps protect surfaces from future rust, especially on metal. I used this to refresh a few of my outdoor metal fixtures, and it works great for both indoor and outdoor applications.Versatility:I’ve used this spray on a variety of surfaces around the house—metal, iron, and steel—and it adheres well and lasts long. It’s ideal for exterior and interior metal surfaces, whether it’s a new piece or something in need of a refresh.Ease of Use:The spray is easy to control, and the nozzle gives an even spray pattern that prevents drips and streaks. You don’t need to worry about sanding to bare metal, which is a huge time-saver for quick fixes. It covers up to 12 sq. ft. per can, so it’s quite efficient for larger projects. I also love how it only requires a 24-hour cure time before I can apply any additional coats or top coats, which makes it perfect for quick, multi-step projects.Final Thoughts:If you’re looking for a high-quality, rust-resistant spray paint that gives you a beautiful oil rubbed bronze finish, I highly recommend this Rust-Oleum product. It’s perfect for matching copper brushed bronze items or creating a consistent, refined look for your metal surfaces. It’s simple to use, and the results are outstanding. Whether you’re working on an indoor or outdoor project, this spray paint will not disappoint.

Loved it… looks discontinued
Bought this to restore a military trailer. Bought approximately 8 cans so obviously I liked the color. This odd looking cap/nozzle sprays a decent Fan pattern (like) but for some reason 90% off the cans kinda leaked at the nozzle and ran down my hand on the van. Good result but quite messy and wasteful.I decided to use “rattle can” instead of trying to do a more professional sprayer because I thought it would be much easier too fix in the event of scratching etc. etc. Just run down to Wall-Mart or Lowe’s and grab a can badda bing badda boom all good right? WRONG ! ! !I ran a little short so I just thought I will kick out to Amazon, look up my old order, and buy a can… heck won’t hurt to keep one on hand so I’ll get two. Only cost like $8/can right? WRONG ! ! !Apparently Rustoleum has discontinued this color. Price on Amazon is more than $30/CAN ! !I searched Around other places hoping to find a couple of straggler cans… no luck.I decided to see how close I could get in any other product line and/or brand. If you are like me and find yourself in a panic and found this review using the color match search… I used Krylon “Metallic Dark Metal”. Caps don’t look the same but most of that is texture of the plastic I think. The finish might be a bit more glossy than the “soft iron”. I had planned on fixing that potential problem with a light coat of matte clear but in the end I didn’t see, at least in my application, that the difference was noticeable enough to spend the extra time and/or money. That matte clear by Rustoleum sells on Amazon currently for around $4.50/can

Great Paint, but MESSY!
Pros: Easy to use, covers very well, dries quickly.Cons: Nozzle drips paint everywhere, spray patter is too wide for smaller projects resulting in excessive over spray and wasted paint.
