HOMMAX Battery Operated Lamp,Cordless Lamp with Timer,Battery Powered Lamp for Home,with LED Bulb/Glass Lampshade/Metal Base

I purchased this lamp to add a bit of light in our foyer at night. The spot where I wanted more light does not have an outlet so I thought going with a battery powered lamp would work. The pros: this lamp is attractive, well-made, not top-heavy, and works as advertised. The On switch starts a six hour timer and magically, the lamp can turn itself on and off at the same times each day. The one largish con: this little lamp has a big appetite for batteries. The industrial style bulb makes a very bright, almost glaring, light which mellows as the batteries fade. And fade the batteries do, fairly quickly. We have good quality, new batteries: I think they maybe last 10 days. If I knew how to modify it, I would have it turn on for a max of 2 hours per day. As it is, I simply turn it on and off myself. Cute lamp but in the long run it's looking expensive because of the need for batteries.Update (1-24): in light of this little lamp's continued great performance, I'm adding stars to my review. My only remaining quibble is the six hour preset on the timer; that's a little too ambitious for this battery powered lamp. But, a product that endures thru years of use is noteworthy these days and the designer deserves to be commended .

I have a new bookcase that I love but there are no lights. This really adds to it and with the timer it comes on automatically. Very happy with this purchase.

I LIKED THE ONE I BOUGHT BUT BATTERIES RAN OUT WITHIN ONE MONTH

Lamp is super cute and a perfect nightlight for a small corner bookshelf that doesn’t have an outlet.Setup was easy - just pop in batteries and the lamp will stay on for 6 hours and then shut off for 14. No programming required, but the batteries do have to be installed at the desired daily illumination time as that starts the automatic internal timer.My only concern is that the glass shade isn’t designed to be removed for cleaning or bulb changes. It may be difficult for my grandma to change the bulb, as she’ll have to get pliers down in there. Additionally, the only hope of cleaning the inside of the glass is to remove the bulb and hope you can get your hand in from the top. Not terribly ideal.Fairly lightweight but made of metal and glass, and looks very nice.I can’t comment on the battery life yet but otherwise pleased so far.

I was surprised just how very nice this would be. Perfect for ANYWHERE, including outdoors. Has automatic timer, IF desired. Bulb is led and permanent and battery compartment so easy to open. LOVE LOVE LOVE!Lamp shade is handmade. I have lamps from various countries that were very expensive. This small lamp can be moved SO easily and SO often!

I would not recommend this product to anyone didn’t even last a month and now I can’t get my money back

When it seems to be fading just change the batteries!!!!!
