Dead out of the box, and wouldn’t charge off my gate system
These were both dead right out of the box. I put them on my Liftmaster gate system to replace my lead-acid batteries that were going dead; after a week of non-use, charging on the solar panel, these did not charge. Pictures are of me checking one of these (blue batteries) with a voltmeter, and testing one of the old (black) batteries. The old ones, which need replacement, still tested at 5 volts, proving that the test is valid (I also tested a 20 volt Ryobi battery and it measured correctly). Using the exact same test, the blue batteries measured 0.05 volts…that’s 1/20th of a volt! Then I read the questions, and they said you needed a special charger…so how would they recharge off of a solar panels like my lead-acid (sla) batteries did? The answer to another question was that you had to buy their 2 amp battery chargers. So these might work for some applications, but definitely not gate batteries. I sent them back.

VERY worth the price - great batteries
I bought 2 of these batteries to build a back up power supply for two applications. The first was to run my small QRP ham station in a box that was intended for use during hurricane season here in Florida and the second was to power my cable modem when the power went out (happens a lot here in Florida). The batteries, installed in a plastic box, (purchased from Amazon) worked excellent for either purpose. However, one day, they simply stopped working. (zero output) While unsure of the actual failure I suspected I had shorted them our during charging and felt sure I now owned two bricks.I sent a note to the company and during a long series of exchanges i found that the built in BMS likely went into a safety mode and if I put a small charge at 14.4 VDC i might recover them.Sure enough the Batteries came back to life and they work perfect.I sure never expected that .... I asked for and received the specifications for the BMS. After reading the specs and further discussions with their tech in California I found there were numerous protections built in and the price for the batteries is very justified. Definitely would recommend them.

they work and charge, but still new so will see
Light weight, discharge was smooth, recharged timely. I use for portable power for telescope and ham radio. So far they perform better than heavy gel cells. Hope they live up to their longevity claim, because they are more costly than other battery types.

Good replacement for my GoGo Scooter AGM, gel, batteries.
I had to use "fillers" to take up space inside the battery-pack. The batteries work well and are MUCH less heavy than the gel batteries.

Avoid at all costs
I purchased 2 of these batteries, both failed within the warranty period, and Expert Power denied the warranty claim on both. Both batteries were charged only with high quality NOCO chargers, and both were used in accordance with all the specifications provided in the listing and linked product specification document.Expert power then provided additional “notes on customer responsibility” that were not available as part of the Amazon listing to deny the claim.I would advise people thinking of buying Expert power products to find a more reputable brand that stands behind their warranties.
