Those Who Wish Me Dead (Blu-ray)

This movie is a jewel. All the acting in it is perfect a little kid is absolutely amazing and of course Angelina Jolie is on par with every performance she's ever had. The directing was marvelous the cinematography was beautiful I grew up in the mountains and it made me want to just go right back there and live in that small type of town and keep it safe. Fires are no joke I don't know if the things that they did would help you survive a fire or not but they made it look realistic enough that it was possible I'd have to Google it to make sure LOL if I ever got caught in a fire. It's a very complex story a lot of really good actors in it and it's absolutely worth a watch or two. Of course there's always the excuse for why Angelina Jolie is so skinny they did it and wanted and they did this one too but she looks the way she is and as long as it's not making her sick we shouldn't care. In fact even if it is making her sick It Isn't Our Place to step into her life and tell her how to live it that's for her loved ones to be there for her and help her through it Whatever It Is. Okay off my soapbox back to the movie It's suspense from the very beginning and it doesn't hold back it keeps going all the way through you're on the edge of your seat the entire time and this is not one where you root for the bad guys if you are of that sort. There is not much more to say about the movie without giving things away I just recommend that you see it and enjoy it enjoy the director for his accomplishment. It's hard to go from Sons of Anarchy to a director but he did well and I can't wait to see what else he does.

Overall entertaining. It's a Taylor Sheridan film! The 12 year old did a great job. I like how it showed what to do if caught in a wildfire or in a lighting storm if you had to cross through. Personally I would eait it out, not under a tree! Love all survival tips.

I watched this when it first came out and I really enjoyed it. Very action packed with some dram scenes. I wanted to have it on blu ray as all my favorite movies are on blu ray disk. I would recommend it!

Not a great movie, but at least is entertained, the movie is very unrealistic, and also the character of Ms Jolie is not amazing, could be another actress and it should be the same, no big adding here. Action, yes, special effects are nice, the movie is worthy, but not excellent. Spanish subtitles. For me 5 stars is Back to the Future or Godfather, 3 stars is for a good movie like this one. The little boy is very good actor, very talented. Future star for sure.

I have watched this movie over and over and over. It never gets boring. Great movie.

First, the credible and impinging malice of the two bad guys is compellingly and powerfully brought by actors Nicholas Hoult and Aidan Gillen. Angelina Jolie brings her usual excellence; this is not to be glossed over--she is stellar in her acting, selection of projects, and screen presence.Jon Bernthal and Medina Senghore, playing married couple police officer and survivalist, bring yet more reality with their strong performances--love 'em.But, an undeniable standout of the film is the child actor Finn Little. He was probably 13 or 14 years old during filming, yet his acting is wholly moving. His filmography includes just 10 titles, but his performance belies that short tenure. He is an actor whose future is to watch, to be sure. Every line is delivered with credibility, and several impinge to the emotional core.This is yet another fine work by writer and director Taylor Sheridan (he co-wrote the screenplay and directed). His works exhibit so well the art form that films can be. We should never forget the importance of writing and direction in filmmaking. Without a good story, the film goes nowhere. Without good direction eliciting powerful and spot-on performances from actors, we get mediocre to foul films. Whenever we see great acting, we should appreciate the actor--clearly--but the director must be acknowledged as well; it is the director's responsibility to get the requisite performance from each actor. Sometimes, upon seeing a horribly delivered movie line, the director must be faulted for letting it ride.A compelling story, wholly compelling performances ... this is the beauty of the art form of films.

Jolie always delivers - but the ending - nothing - the kid has memory stick - WE assume -but the Feds were some of the bad people so . . . .

This is an impressive film. There is always a kind of logic to Jolie's acting which makes her so believable and in the moment, no matter who she protrays. She leaves me with no choice but to be taken into the story with her. The technically analytical me can watch many a film and not withdraw from my self-imposed duty to evaluate, but I find myself completely abandoned in the case of films featuring Angelina Jolie in the lead. And of course this film's plot and all of its accoutrements makes it a thriller not to be missed. If you get a chance, this is a rewarding film to watch. I highly recommend it.
