Spigen Air Skin Designed for Apple iPhone 8 Plus Case (2017) / Designed for iPhone 7 Plus Case (2016) - Soft Clear

I ordered this case last week, it has been shipped and is expected to arrive on October 8 so I don't actually have the case yet. Today I received an email from Spigen acknowledging that the case may have a manufacturing issue that affects how the case fits. A replacement is expected to arrive in approx. 2 weeks. In the meantime they are sending me an alternate clear case to use. Of course I'm disappointed in the delays but very pleased with the way Spigen is handling this. This is great customer service from a quality company. Hope this helps anyone else experiencing the same issue.

My family has purchased Spigen cases in the past and have been very happy with them, however, I am very disappointed by this case and in Spigen. It has a design flaw that you may not notice right away. The small holes for the speakers at the bottom of the case do not line up with properly with the speaker holes on the iPhone 7 (see photo).In addition, there was a piece of plastic missing on the top right hand side of the case (see photo).I contacted Spigen and emailed back and forth with them four times over the course of a week with a support rep named Jason. I also sent them photos when requested. I did this in an effort to get them to commit to replacing the case because I like the idea of a thin case like this one. When sending the photos, I asked if the speaker holes on the replacement case would like up correctly. That was four days ago and they have still not responded. So I have decided to just return the case for a refund.UPDATE: A new case arrived today from Spigen. It is not the same model as the one I ordered. It is much bulkier.

Air skin clear for iPhone 7 Plus. After I ordered it, I received a message from Spigen advising me they were notified by their supplier that there was a fitment issue and an updated version of the air skin case would be sent to me in about two weeks time. Spigen also sent me an clear ultra hybrid case for the trouble of having to wait for the updated air skin case. That’s good business and I appreciate Spigen even more now for that gesture. The air skin case I eventually received does in fact go on my phone but only with careful and gentle work while putting it on. It doesn’t slip smoothly onto the phone like the Spigen air skin case I used for almost two years on my iPhone 6. The leading edge of the lip that slips over the edges of the phone and onto the phone feels a little sharp and as though it may possibly scratch the beautiful matte finish. I wonder if I somehow got sent the original, ill fitting case instead of the updated version. Once I got the case onto the phone the fit was great as far as adding almost 0 bulk or added size/weight to the phone but getting it on was a worrying experience. I like to take my case off in the evening when I know I’m just going to be home so that I can experience using the phone as it was meant to be used, sans case. Every day before I head out the door I put the case back on to protect it while I’m out. I wouldn’t want to do that with this case for fear it may scratch the phone as I said. My second complaint is that the case isn’t clear as stated, it has a frosted finish that doesn’t look very good on my black phone. The fit could be better and it should either be clear as stated or, offered in like colors to the color of the phone.

Love Spigen for years now. This last order had a case flaw before I even detected it for lack of time to apply case to my iPhone 7 and I received an email informing me of such and that a corrected replacement was on its way out to me in a few days free of charge. Now what company does that? Haven't seen that type of service and honesty in a VERY long time. Thanks Spigen...

Nearly impossible to get on. It's also a little cloudy so my gold iPhone looks silver most of the time. It's done it's job of protecting from scratches and not being bulky.

Didn't fit as well as my old iPhone 6s version. I did order the black one so look better with my Jet Black iPhone 7, they didn't have the black option when purchasing. I wish they made a optically clear version for my Jet Black iPhone. They didn't loose any stars as this was a great product, and customer support team was wonderful to deal with.

Doesn't fit the phone perfectly. They should have done better.

Fantastic case! I only really use cases to avoid getting deep scratches, so I like when I can get a super slim case. This one is the next best thing to having a bare phone that I've used yet! I only wish they did a version in a completely clear plastic, this one is "frosted".
