I love it.
Functionality.. well thought out, fun game. It has some luck to it.Ease of Learning? It was a bit hard to learn. But I actually enjoyed figuring it out. I noticed there are two event decks that are the same except for the card backs. Only one of the two decks is used. Which one? Since they are nearly exact, it doesn't matter which one. (go big into boardgame geek to see the talk about it in forums). It took a few hours to figure this out. I enjoyed the study immensely.Strategy? Oh there's the rub isn't it? The strategy for one type of game with one or two types of missions with 1 to 6 players, with one board side, or the other.... I LOVE IT!Quality: Superb.Size: It's a biggish box. Quite Heavy. I was careful to note the order of the layers as I opened it up. I would bet there are a few "unboxing" videos on line.

Nemesis Lockdown Board Game: The Ultimate Husband Trap
My husband's favorite game of all time is Nemesis. So of course he HAD to have Nemesis Lockdown in his collection, so like the loving wife I am, I purchased it for him. Little did I know, I found the perfect trap – I mean, game – for him! Here’s why it’s a wife’s secret weapon:Husband Magnet: This game has magnetic powers over my husband. Once he starts playing, he’s glued to the table for hours. It’s like magic, but with dice and alien invaders. Many, Many Hours of Fun (for Him): This game takes FOREVER. Like, seriously, hours upon hours. But you know what? That means I get tons of "me time" while he’s occupied with his gamey things. It’s like a mini vacation for me every time he plays. This game has become my ally in the battle for solo TV time. While he’s conquering the galaxy or whatever, I get full control of the TV remote. It’s a win-win for both of us, really.Survival Skills: My husband is now an expert in surviving alien attacks and navigating treacherous labs. It’s a valuable skill set, I’m sure, in case we ever move to Mars or face an alien invasion. Thanks, Nemesis Lockdown!Alien Encounters: If I had a dollar for every time I heard him talk about alien encounters and secret agendas, I’d be able to fund a real-life Mars mission. The enthusiasm is real, folks.Complexity Overload: I have no idea how this game works. There are so many pieces, cards, and rules that it looks like a spaceship exploded on our dining room table. But hey, he’s happy, so I’m happy.Perfect for Wife Gatherings: Need to drop off your husband for a night out with the girls? Just set up Nemesis Lockdown, and you’re guaranteed he won’t move until the game’s over. It’s like having a built-in babysitter, except he’s the one being babysat by aliens.Nerd Bonding Time: Apparently, this game is also great for bonding with his fellow nerdy friends. They all get together, speak their nerdy language, and have a blast. It’s like watching a bunch of grown men play make-believe – absolutely adorable. In conclusion, the Nemesis Lockdown Board Game is a wife’s dream come true – a husband trap disguised as entertainment. If you need some husband-free time or just want to witness pure geeky joy, look no further. Highly recommend, with a side of humor and a full fridge of beer.

Love to hate it, Hate to love it
Yup, this expansion is triggering...but in a great way! It adds quite a bit of chaos to an already complicated game, but we have a lot of fun when we decide to play with this expansion. Nemesis is our favorite game to play and this expansion really turns up the heat for difficulty. The pieces that come in the expansion meet the same quality of the base game, but my favorite feature of the expansion is that it's easier to put back into the box when you're done playing! Way easier than the base game. Overall, this is a worthy addition if you have the base game.

Great expansion and easy to incorporate into the base game
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Nemesis makes it to my table around 20 times a year. My group loves the semi-co-op objectives and we love the tension of being trapped on a huge ship in space. Alien in a box basically. I picked up Voidseeders to add a little change to our gaming experience. It uses a new insanity mechanic that takes the place of the slime me space on your character board. The expansion sees a new alien race that forces hallucinations to turn you against each other making semi-co-op far more interesting. I love how simple it is to add the new items and aliens to the base game. It is not overly complex and the base rules stay the same. You receive different Enemy Attack cards and Events cards and the new insanity mechanic but that's all. The enemies you kill so not leave carcases because they aren't really there. You do have to keep an eye on your insanity level because if it gets to a certain level you die of a heart attack from being so afraid. The game forces you to think like ahead and should you play this card, or will it come in handy in the next room I explore. Is my team working with me or are they working against me? This expansion has a lot of content for the price and it is very simple to include it into the base game and makes a fresh addition to an already flawless and fun board game.

Very complicated, way to many game pieces, and it take's to long to setup and move the game pieces
For every rule there are several different game pieces. The majority of the game pieces are smaller than half the size of a penny. There are so many game pieces that after taking apart the new game it's even more effort to put all pieces back into the box. I had spent three hours assembling the game pieces and the board game to play game of Nemesis, but by the time I had finished setting up the game nobody I was with wanted to play anymore. It's a fun game to talk about but isn't fun to sit through a long game of play, especially when having to wait on your turn and waiting on the 3rd or 4th player to figure out the rules. What will likely happen when this game is bought is that it might be played 5 or less times within it lifetime, with the majority of it's time on a shelf or open on a table in an empty room. For a the price of this game I can do much better with my time and make much more out of my money.
