Best woodworking pencil I’ve ever owned. The design is very simple, yet very smart. Love the sheath which remains in your pocket, and the quality of the included graphites is very good. The sharpener ensures that graphite can produce a crisp mark on your work surfaces. Once you use this, you’ll never want to use anything else.

My last pica I had for 4 years. Everything still worked fine I just broke the pencil holder 3 times and fixed it and worked fine. Best pencil I’ve ever owned and I will never go back. Writes darker then a regular one, writes well on wet surfaces, all around best pencil to have.

I'm a bridge carpenter best pencil I have ever used

I bought the Pica 30403 Marker Kit again after the last one was completely destroyed in a fire, and it’s just as reliable as ever. The Pica‑Dry pencil feels rugged and has a built-in sharpener right in the cap, and the 2.8 mm graphite leads mark clearly on almost any surface.

Best pencil for a carpenter

As a framer and sider, I was gravitated towards this pencil as it eliminates the constant need to sharpen standard construction pencils with a knife. I hesitated on the purchase considering the price is astronomical compared to $0.50 pencils, and I don't know if it was truly worth it. The positives are the built in sharpener, extra thick graphite, and the ability to mark clearly even in wet use (perhaps due to the softer nature of the graphite used in these pencils.) Unfortunately, the refills are delicate even in the case provided, leading to most of them being snapped. Ultimately, this tool is more of a luxury than a necessity; standard pencils get the job done and cost a fraction of the price, but the marking ability is unmatched.
