Not exactly the same.
Bought this to go with the Red covered Saxon 2 math teacher's manual but it doesn't follow it like the red saxon math 2 workbook. It lacks the some of same problems which are different than in the Teacher's manual. It also has less work sheets in the booklet than the Part one and part two with red covers. Assessment worksheets are also not available in this one. Used on it's own it is probably fine but if you want the true deal purchase ones with a red cover that match the teachers edition. Maybe there is another teacher's manual out there with this cover but I couldn't find it.

Very easy to use and like the format
Knew my son was going to be using this for his class this year. Purchased and used it over the summer. Very easy to use and like the format.

OK workbook, doesn't give full benefit of Saxon curriculum
I got this to help my son practice basic skills. It was great for a while but nearly every page in the book is the same-- math facts and then a five question time/ money/ calendar review.Friends who use the full curriculum tell me that this is just an extra review, it doesn't walk the kids through all of the concepts covered in the teacher manual.

So Boring!
I bought this math program to teach the 2nd grade curriculum with over the summer because I had heard great things about if from my sisters-in-law who both home school. It was so repetitive and so very basic. I am greatly disappointed in Saxon Math, at least at this level, and will not plan on using it in the future. I also bought the Singapore Math workbooks/ textbooks to use with a different student in 2nd grade over the summer. There is absolutely NO comparison. Singapore math goes much deeper and is much more interesting, colorful and appropriately challenging.
