Delta RP2865 Plug for Push-Button Diverter

I had an old style delta shower handle with push diverter to have the water switch from faucet to shower head. And this little piece was what I needed to install the bronze without the diverter, now my bathroom looks amazing.

Fit the diverter perfectly and made it so we could replace our old outdated bath fixtures to a more updated finish. Work well we now have a diverter in the tub spout and have no problems with the water being diverted to the shower head. So glad delta parts let us know this was available and most of the plumbers we called to see what could be done to replace the out dated fixtures never told us about the diverter plug.

If you have a broken diverter on a bathtub with a Delta faucet and want to replace the trim to something a bit more modern and then have a tub spout with the diverter built in, THIS IS THE PART YOU NEED!I was able to get this from Amazon faster than either of my two primary suppliers. I paid significantly more than I normally would but Amazon hit it out of the part on the delivery.

Plugs real good. Just like a plug should. Used to upgrade me old crystal ball shower with push button diverter. Didn't come with my upgrade kit for some reason so I had to buy this thing. Get your plug on, crystal ballers!

This part is a must purchase if you are installing the Delta RP54870 Renovation Kit - 600 Series Tub/Shower to replace the horribly outdated round plastic knob and shower diverter stem that pokes out of the round wall escutcheon trim plate. This part is NOT included in the renovation kit and I only learned about it by reading customer reviews for the renovation kit on Amazon. Thanks for the heads up

This plug is necessary if you are changing an old shower/tub valve to a faucet type diverter. I could not find anything locally to fit. I feel it is very much over priced for what you get (cost more than the faucet itself), but what else can you do besides replacing the whole valve by tearing out tile and sheet rock, so this is a case of lesser of two evils.

Quality part. You must have this to update the valve and bypass the diverter valve, but is is too EXPENSIVE.

This is just what is needed to remove a push button shower diverter valve so that a modern escutcheon plate and pull up tub faucet can be used. While the price is on par with other sources, I still have a hard time spending this much on a brass plug
