I love it! It is exactly what I expected!!
The media could not be loaded. The ratings aren't fair. This product is very inexpensive, so anyone who thought they were getting top of the line goods, needs to re-think their buying choices. In my opinion, user error has to do with all of the bad reviews, especially the one with the bent piece!.I will agree that there needs to be directions with the product, but they are easily found on Amazon. Also, the directions are poorly written, but anyone with half a brain could have figured it out on their own.Do this first. Take 1 stick of butter and cut it in half. Let the two halves sit on the counter for about an hour, bringing the butter close to room temperature. Then follow the directions provided on Amazon's product page. The soften butter slides onto the plastic screw with ease.Note: It al goes with out saying that you will need to let this sit out and get close to room temperature again before you can spread it on bread or corn. Duh! And if you want to break this doing stupid things you can easily accomplish it, just don't knock the product.I keep mine in the freezer and use it to pretreat my egg pan in stead of cooking spray. It works great, my butters stays wrapped and my hands stay clean.

Love it
My husband and I call it a "butter chapstick" . I honestly am confused by the bad reviews. It works perfectly for us. You can find around half stick of butter in one and the other half into the other. Twist it all the way down , place the butter in (from the fridge so it's cold and hard) and thrn turn upside down and gently press the butter chapstick down onto the butter. It may slightly shave off part of the edge or a corner but hardly any. When left at room temperature as it is intended to be used it is soft and spreadable enough that you can easily apply it to toast, or a dish for non-stick purposes. Twist it up a few clicks. Rub on. Repeat.

Good Idea on Paper -- Failure on Execution
I soooo wanted to like this product. It looked like the perfect solution to an age old problem of how to deal with getting butter to get from the stick to what you want it on. This device SHOULD work...and it WILL if you could only get that butter easily into it. And that is the crux of the failure -- you can't, unless all things along with the stars and the planets are aligned perfectly. The butter has to be hard enough to be slide into the body of this devices perfectly. If it is not hard enough, it won't hold its square shape perfectly and you won't get it to slide into the square case evenly and then you have butter all over your fingers and the sides of the device. If it is nice and hard so it is a perfectly fitting solid and can slide into the plastic container, then try getting that stiff push-rod into the butter -- no way that happens; it is like trying to drill into a brick. Then should you be lucky enough to get everything to align perfectly and you get the butter into this thing, it has to be the right consistency to work -- you can't just take it right out of the refrig...when it is that cold, it won't budge out of the device. You will have to wait until it is warmed enough for it to start sliding as you crank the push-rod. If it gets TOO soft, then it just oozes out all over and it's a mess.Sorry guys, I sooo wanted this to work and I will say it's a good idea, but there are so many cons and not enough pros to recommend this thing. I'm afraid it's back to a butter dish and butter knife. Although I did see a device that actually has a blade to cut the butter, but there again, it is the same issue -- it's the BUTTER -- it doesn't just stay the same consistency; the second you take it from the refrigerator and bring it to the table and room temperature, it begins shape -shifting and going from stiff-as-a-brick solid to melting into a puddle. No device can effectively deal with that.

Works great
Qiuerte Butter Spreader Works great for spreading butter on toast or buttering a pan for cooking or for spreading on pancakes. The only downfall to this is the size is not exactly made for a stick of butter in the US. Some of it has to be cut down to fit.

Did not work for us at all.
It is difficult to get the butter in and difficult to get it out. Cheaply made. It was a good concept and we were excited. But did not work and we just threw it away--butter and all!

Works great!
I was a little hesitant on purchasing at first due to some of the reviews of people saying they couldn’t get the stick of butter to fit. Those folks must have been trying to shove a stick of butter in sideways of something. I was relieved when getting the product and could tell immediately that a stick of butter would fit. The only cut you might have to do would be to cut the stick in half since this just fits 4 tbsp of butter, but buying 4tbsp sticks of butter isn’t that uncommon to find. The quirky little gadget works perfectly well and is certainly a fun conversation starter..

Handy to have.
It would be better if it would hold a full stick as thats what I usually buy but it still does the job and makes it easier. Only thing I found was 1 came apart and didn't want to go back together too easy. I put the butter in these and then store in a cabinet so it is softer when needed.
