I had been wanting this for a long time. The packaging was excellent since I ordered some more electronics, they made sure that this magnet doesn't affect other devices.I bought this for an important purpose which might sound funny, I lose my keys very often and don't where I put it, so to easily search. Also, I wanted to do some science experiment on how much it weight it can lift for the size of the magnet. I definitely have to accept that the strength of the magnet is quite powerful, but not as expected, I'm not sure if two of these made to attract will be able to crush a piece of baguette. I will try to share my experiments here or on YouTube.I have also tried to see the power by sticking it to my car, yes it's definitely powerful and in case you need to hang on the trunk, then this is a perfect one. Be sure not to place it close to electronics, I forgot and placed it near my headphone (cheap ones), after an hour, it stopped working, so be sure to have it in a non-electric prone zone.Overall, this is definitely a fun toy to play with, if properly tuned can be used for many different purposes. No, not the fleshy human man kind...a stud in the wall! I wanted something reliable and easy to find wall studs for hanging my artwork so after my research and advice from a carpenter, I found that a very strong magnet can help easily located studs on a wall (because the magnet locks onto the metal nails...duh!)This works amazing - couldn’t ask for a better solution! I took it out of the box with durable gloves on because if it were broken it would slice your hands. Be sure to wear gloves while handling! :)Helpful tip: studs are typically spaced 16 or 24 inches apart, so knowing that + having this magnet makes it a breeze!

I needed to sift thru a huge pile of mulch to find a lost key set. These magnets are hugely powerful. The plan was to run them thru all of the mulch and the keys would stick.Alas, I didnt find the keys but my yard is now free of all nails and screws.They are a little smaller than a golf ball and amazingly powerful. Now I need to find another purpose for them. They are way too strong for holding a closet door shut for example.

Took just about forever for it to come because it came out of florida and cant travel air.Not as strong as I was imagining, the first thing I did was unbox the two and stick them together, and then take them apart, all by hand.Due to the beveled edges, you cant really pinch your fingers either. (I tried)There's almost no chance you will hurt yourself with them which is no fun at all.

I bought 2 of these and within seconds of taking them out I managed to bust both of them. If you get a pair within a foot of each other, they will take off at 1000 miles an hour towards each other, make contact, pieces of magnet will break and fly along with lots of sparks.After that happened to me, it was all I could do to get the remaining sections apart.Still they were about 85% whole, so I figured they would work great for holding steel together to MIG weld.Well...that didn't really work either. The magnetic field is so strong it screwed up the weld. I don't know if it was pulling the arc itself, the filler metal, the puddle, or the shielding gas....all I know is MIG welding anywhere near one of those just causes spatter and a really crappy weld.So...I gave these 3 stars for being TOO GOOD of magnets. Crazy I know...but these are so strong they are almost useless to me.
