There can be no other cookie in the world to match this
I am addicted to this cookie. It is so well built and I can write a thesis on this cookie. These cookies are crunchy and buttery, with sugar on the sides, and go extremely well with tea or even by itself. I use this cookie as a benchmark and compare other cookies to this one. It's delicious but you run a risk of getting addicted. There are a Few Cons though 1. This cookie needs to be fresh or you will not enjoy it. Amazon has good ones though. 2. The box per cookie is expensive compared to others. 3. There is a risk of broken cookies if you get it shipped. Nevertheless, they taste the same. :) Buy it try it..

There is nothing to compare with Walkers Highlanders and I had not been able to get any during lockdown, Taste of Scotland were my saviours. Order was sent quickly and received in good condition. Very happy, thank you.

Walkers Shortbread is the standard, by which all shortbread are judged. The Highlanders are my favorite shortbread, and possibly my favorite cookie. If you haven't had them, you don't know what you are missing.

These are the real deal. For those of you who have drunk the Martha Stewart (et al) Cool Aid and think shortbread is supposed to be light and fluffy...NO...just, no. Classic shortbread, the way it's supposed to be made, the way it originated in Scotland centuries ago, is crunchy with still discernible grains of sugar. That's because the sugar, butter and flour are just cut together, never whipped. If you like that traditional Scottish style of shortbread, these are the cookies for you. If you've never had that style of shortbread, forget the light and fluffy and give the real thing a chance. Your taste buds will thank you.
