I have used the Wusthof Gourmet spreader knife a number of times and am impressed with it's sharpness and the ease at which butter spreads using the knife. I have quite a few Wusthof knives and they are excellent quality. I would recommend hand washing for all good knives.

Great spreader for making sandwiches. Blade is thicker than cheaper ones and runs full length of handle. Order arrived a week early too!

Great quality knife. I recently accidentally threw my 30+ year old Cutco in the trash. I went to their site and found them to be $94. I really didn't want to spend that much on it as I mainly use it for cake cutting and serving. Bought this one and it is super sharp and sturdy. I had read other reviews about it being flimsy but mine is not so not sure where those came from unless the expectation is that it would be more like a steak or butcher knife. Highly recommended.
