I was so excited to get rid of my HEAVY, pain-in-the-butt hose and have this light, sleek one! I only used it a couple times when I turned it on to find MULTIPLE leaks in the hose!! What a huge disappointment. I already got rid of my old hose - and now this one is garbage... I feel taken for a ride.

I sent back another brand 75 ft. hose that was defective and got a refund. I decided to try the Tru-Tec 75 ft. expandable hose as it seemed to be much stronger. I have just used the hose 5 times and it has performed well so far. The water pressure is higher than on the other 75 ft. hose. This is 5/8" and it makes a satisfactory difference vs. 1/2" diameter as I have a lot of shrubs to water on the patio.Pros: Light Weight, Retracts, Sturdier than the usual expandable hose, Good water pressure for 5/8" although I would prefer a 3/4" hose, good quality water nozzle sent with hose.Cons: Can't leave out in sunlight for extended period, exterior fabric could easily be torn over a season, holder: not practical at all.I doubt any type expandable hose can last more than a year compared to heavy rubber hose.

I've only used this hose a few times, but I'm happy with it so far. Seems to be well made and durable. I've used it with my power sprayer and to water the garden (with the included spray nozzle). I haven't measured to see exactly how much it expands & shrinks, but there is definitely a big difference.The spray nozzle is plastic, and a piece broke off after a few uses. I sent the seller a message through Amazon and they promptly sent me a package with _several_ new nozzles to replace it!I need another hose for the other side of the house. These hoses aren't cheap and I don't know about the long-term reliability yet, but based on their excellent customer service I am going to order a second one of these (100ft this time).

I've seen expandable hoses advertised on TV for several years and the idea was always appealing, but reviews were generally poor. We recently built a new house and the garage hose bib is located inside the garage, so I didn't want a traditional garden hose hanging on the interior wall. I researched expandable hoses again and located this one which, although a bit pricey, got really good reviews. I ordered and found that the adage "You get what you pay for" is once again true. This thing works great, expands easily, and retracts when the water drains out of it. It seems to be sturdily made, takes up minimal room, and the built in hose holder is a really nice touch.

Disappointed overall. The biggest drawback I found is that it so heavily compressed that if you try to run something (like a pressure washer or even filling up a water talk it starts to try and retract from the loss in pressure that you have to physically pull it to keep it in the tank. To get it to remain at the full 75' length you have to restrict the flow significantly.Even though I've only used it a couple of times that outer covering is already starting to show signs of fraying. On the positive side it does appear well made and the fittings are top notch. I would not buy another at this price.

I started loving this hose, but now I'm stuck with it. There are tiny pin holes in the hose right under the elevated faucet attachment. It's only three months since I bought it, and now I have to buy a new hose. Save your money. These expandable hoses have a reputation of lousy performance, but I'm a senior who lives in Florida. I read the reviews before I bought it, & was positively impressed. My plants and flowers have to be watered daily because of the extreme heat. This hose was easy for me to use, but it has lived up to its reputation of short-lived performance. I don't recommend this hose for anyone!****TruTec advised me to contact them as I was unhappy with the hose. I did, but there was no follow up.

Firstly, I had to return this hose. There are many sellers on Amazon selling these hoses. I can vouch for this company-they are professional and experienced sellers. They were not only prompt in their return, they were personal. Unusually good seller. I highly recommend them! *I loved this hose, but it is made in China, & I do think they should be made better. It developed a small hole in the hose part, about 4 feet from the brass bitting. Tiny tiny hole, but showed on the sidewalk, as a leak.

Not worth the price! Read good reviews an purchased, April 2017. August 2019 hose started leaking from brass end, tried to repair, but realized the vinyl core had torn and started leaking even worse. I was very diligent after using hose, I would drain, and let dry out, then put back into its bag and stored inside our home. So I would use this hose usually to wash our vehicles with soft water, and this hose was very light weight and easy to maneuver around the vehicles. Great hose, so I thought for $50 it would hold up for years. I was wrong! So if you want a expensive hose which might hold up for 2 years, buy this one. I think you would be wise and buy a cheaper version of expandable hose.
