Got this for my 5 year old son. Just about the right size for him with it completely collapsed. It'll last him a while. Well made. No complaints. The paddle area is smaller than an adult size and is much easier for him to get going through the water than a bigger paddle. I'm happy with the purchase.

I bought this paddle for my wife, 5'2", and it works great. It's not very buoyant when fully extended and will sink if left in the water for a bit. When shortened, it floated just fine. Only the top half of the paddle is enclosed and holds air. We put it through it's paces and even though there was noticeable flex when paddling really hard, it holds up fine.

This paddle works great when I’m use. My six will be able to use it for a number of years. My concern is that it doesn’t float very well. I may have to add some floatation to it but I will definitely keep it.

Very good paddle... feels sturdy and was an easy transition for my 7 year old when his original paddle snapped while on the water. So far, so good...and is a good value compared to the pricey local surf-shops. I'm all for shopping local...but $119 for a paddle??? This does the trick for 1/2 the cost.
