Hit The Road Jack (The Hunt for Jack Reacher Series)

I didn't pay attention to the blurb about the contents. I had already read the first three stories. This was just a teaser for her Searching for Jack Reacher novels and shorts stories, which I like. The last two stories were related only that a few characters from the third story in the book re-occur, Fourth book has a neat twist. Don't know if the last two stories appear elsewhere, but they were good reading.

It included two tales from another series. I only wanted the Jack Reacher series tales.

It's true to the Jack Reacher series of books by Lee Child. An interesting take on the aftermath of Jack Reacher adventures as he tries to fit into an American nation he spent his life defending, but doesn't really know all that well.

It's not even a full length novel. And if they do find Jack Reacher, what are they gonna do. Beat him up? Save you money.

This is all right if one has nothing better to do with one's time and can't sleep. As with any book based on another author's characters and ideas, as Robert B. Parker or Tom Clancy, it is lacking in substance. This was written by the apprentice rather than by the master.
