Not Water Soluble
The rubberseal did the job well. I had bubbling when doing the water test so was a bit concerned for my application. For almost all applications I believe this is a great product. It is listed as not water soluble so was my choice for product over others.I don't have a definite ruling on water solubility so please consult with the scientists before using the product.

Easy to apply, just takes time
Looks great. We will see how it holds up. I didnt have any leaks before but there was some evidence if the roofing material having openings and some cracks in caulking so I painted roof as preventative maintenance.

Used on Camper Roof
TL;DR: Great stuff I put on our camper roof to waterproof and seal. Seems to work at a great price.I came on Amazon looking for FlexSeal or the Rust Oleum LeakSeal and stumbled upon this stuff with incredibly high reviews.Pricing and Packaging: I got one gallon of white and the price is pretty good when put up head-to-head with the competition. Product showed up padded inside a box inside another Amazon box.Application: I used it on a 1994 19' Starcraft camper trailer that had never been completely sealed. We bought it last year and the previous owner had a small leak spring in the back years prior that he had sealed up. The roof had been heavily caulked around all the vents and seams, but the rest of the roof had never been touched. I applied two coats of the RubberSeal--the first with a paintbrush so I could get it on thick and the second 24 hours later with a 6" mini roller from Walmart. I applied mine inside the garage, but I would wait for a few days of sun before I put it on. I also didn't bother cleaning the roof, although mine was surprisingly clean already. Results: One coat of RubberSeal didn't do a great job of covering the roof. The second coat covered it well enough that it should be fine. This only used half of my gallon jug, so I will probably roll a third coat on just for giggles. The sealant got down into all the cracks and seams of the roof and along where the metal meets the vents and just sealed right over it all. It seems like it had a good bond--I can't scratch or chip it off with my nails.Cleanup: I just tossed my paintbrush and roller cover, but it says to use mineral spirits or baby oil, which I had neither of on hand. Gasoline and paint thinner were both a no-go. Didn't touch the stuff. If I don't update this review, assume that I am 100% satisfied with the product and recommend it to all RV'ers!

The truth. Read carefully
Ok, first, read the directions before you start. Clean whatever you are applying it to thoroughly or it won't stick right. It states that multiple coats will be required. People who are complaining that it doesn't work right obviously didn't read the directions. I have had this on my rv roof for 2 years now and I walk around on my roof every month to sweep it and remove pine cones and branches that fall on my roof. No problems are ever found even though stuff falls on it. I applied 14 coats-a 5 gallon bucket to my 26 ft. Travel trailer. I used a roller to apply it and yes it goes on thin. Directions tell you to apply multiple coats for maximum protection. 2 coats a day until I used it all up. I have washed my roof 4 times with a scrub brush on a pole and roof doesn't peel just comes back clean and white. This stuff works as advertised as long as you do it right. UPDATE! 3 years on my rv roof now and I am still walking on it every week, pine cones and branches still hitting it, and all is good. Doesn't need any maintenance. Read the directions first and you won't have any problems. UPDATE! Trailer went thru hurricane sandy in a campground full of pine trees and guess what, NO DAMAGE . Roof full of debris and no damage.

Went On Nicely, We'll See If It Holds Up
I just put it on so I can't evaluate the efficacy of the product yet. I had to store it 5 months until it was warm enough to apply. There was no separation in the bucket when I opened it, which was a good sign. My '94 Tiger popup RV's roof is about 7'x12 and as never been fully sealed. The first coat went on what seemed a bit thin, but since I was applying it with a 4" brush right from the bucket, the liquid started to thicken up with exposure to the air. The next day I got a full second coat, the liquid now thicker but not paste-like. If you can, apply it in the shade because it sets up quickly---then move your rig into the sun to cure. I am VERY pleased I got 2 coats from the one gallon bucket. Time will tell if it holds up. I will update later in the year. If it does, this product is a great value.

very thin cover
We put 3 coats of this on the roof a small camping trailer, and after 3 coats, it is still a very thin layer. We are able to scratch it off with a thumb nail, and not much pressure... We power washed and brushed the roof with cleaner, prior to application, but I have no confidence it will stay on the roof and do its job. In no way resembles rubber!

fills in all cracks and looks beautiful too
just applied it to the top of our camper as a roof sealer. it went on smooth, didn't drip much and was easy to apply. it started getting tacky (in 90 degree weather) within 10 mins. drips on the driveway were not easy to wash off. I'd recommend drop cloths. I used a 4 inch roller with a 1/2 inch rug. but I'd recommend using a thinner rug roller. I only sealed the seams of the vents, AC, awning, antenna and furnace/frig. I did not do the entire roof. We have a 23 foot camper with about 21 feet of roof. See pic. It is bright white and did not fade as it dried. it washed off my brush and hands pretty easily. I really like this stuff!
