After going through a medical emergency where I needed 2 blood transfusion and then an iron infusion. A nurse practioner told me that all my life I've been taking the wrong type of iron supplements. After being on this, ferrous sulfate supplement a month my iron level is just now reaching an ok level. If you have heavy cycles please don't go with any other type of iron. Also the nurse practioner said take these with a cup of orange juice to be better absorbed. I wish I would have been given this information like 20 yrs ago!! They are small, easy to swallow and with orange juice I couldn't taste them. I was also eating everything high in iron including liver to raise my level before all the medical problems started. If your anemic please don't hesitate to try these, they actually work.
