Great cable and a nice short length - I use for charging on the countertop and the short length is perfect from the outlet to the countertop with no extra to coil up - and the light color disappears on the light colored counter when not in use - perfect. I have charged my device for the last 100 days with this cable and it has worked flawlessly. My phone has a case (Seidio SURFACE iPhone 6s Plus) and this cable fits inside the cutout easily. I don't expect this to break anytime soon - it seems very sturdy - but I like it so much I'm back buying a spare.

This review is for the 1.5ft cord. It is excellent. This is well constructed with a better outside covering than the Apple OEM cords that are provided with your iPhone/iPod/iPad. It works perfectly with my iPhone 5s with iOS7. Great for the car.UPDATE: I purchased this cable in Fall of '13. In March of '14 the cable started having some issues. I needed to unplug the cord from a USB power source a few times before it would start charging my phone. I sent RND an e-mail and they replied almost immediately and offered a brand new replacement cable which arrived on my doorstep just a few days later. This kind of customer service has only given me more confidence in buying RND products. In addition to this product, I have purchased two 6-foot iPhone lightning cables from RND and those work great as well. This is a brand you can trust!!!

Excellent Cable, worked perfectly. Nice and flexible and feels more durable than original iPhone cord. Only time will tell if if truly holds up, but I have no worries it will at this point. Works great in my car for a short cable to charge phone. If you want to hold phone up to ear while charging, obviously cable is too short for that. This will be illegal in my state soon anyway, so I will use this as my reminder to use my BT headset!

Works perfectly with the iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 we have in the house. It's short enough to avoid clutter while being long enough to let us place the devices comfortably on the counter as they charge. Four stars rather than five only because I don't think I can "love" a cable. However, if you are the sort of person to develop intense emotions for cell phone accessories, this cable should please you.

This cable works great with my iPhone 5. I had a cheap aftermarket cable that was NOT an Apple certified cable. It used to work fine, but iOS updates later made a warning message appear every time I used it, and since the last update, the cable would no longer charge my phone at all. So I began looking for a replacement that wouldn't have the same problem. This Apple certified cable works perfectly and does not cause any warning message to pop up. I wanted a cable shorter than the standard Apple cable, for use in my car. This 1.5 ft length is great for charging my phone in the car without all the excess cable length clutter. I also prefer the black color for being less conspicuous for use in my car.

EDIT 7/12/2022. Still working over three years laterI needed one a little longer than a foot, but not 3 ft, for my car phone holder. This is the perfect length, and about the only game in town for the length. I’ve been using it a couple of months, no issues, no problems, seems sturdy enough.

I usually don't buy accessories unless they are Apple. But I needed a 18 inch cable for my car, and that's kind of a specialty item. This cable is performing very well so far. The only negative is it is a little stiff. Not as pliable as most cables I have had in the past. I hope I have found a brand that will work in place of Apple accessories. The price is certainly right.

This cable works as expected, and I appreciate the shorter 18-inch length (I am using this to connect from my car's dash to the iPhone in a cup holder stand, so a longer cable would just get in the way).But this cable is not up to the standards of the Apple Lightning cable:- very thin wire, some concerns about how it will hold up over time- wire much stiffer than with the Apple Lightning cable- connection to my iPhone not that great, if I bump the wire the plug disconnects from the iPhone momentarily. I've not had this issue with an Apple cable or the Griffin USB to Lightning Connector Cable, 4' coiled I used prior to this.So unless you will really take advantage of the shorter length, I would pay the few extra dollars for the Apple OEM cable. The Griffin coiled cable noted above has had quality issues as well. One other option is the Griffin 2-foot Lightning cable (not sold on Amazon as far as I can tell) - I use this cable at my desk and it is a better cable than the RND.

Arrived quickly. Thin gauge wire. Not too stiff, nor flimsy. Connects well to my Apple Car Play. Perfect length to reach from USB port (base of centre panel) to magnetic mount on infotainment screen - without any strain (I didn't want coil this time for that reason). Haven't used it yet in winter temps - will update if doesn't perform well.

Les câbles me paraissent assez résistants et je n'ai pas eu de problème de compatibilité avec mes iDevices mais vraiment trop court (45 cm)!!!

Des fois, on va trop vite. En voilà le parfait exemple. Je pensais profiter d'une belle promotion en achetant ce lot, me disant ainsi pouvoir laisser des câbles de charge à différents endroits. Je n'ai vu la longueur que trop tard : 50 cm c'est trop court dans la plupart des cas. Pas grave, cela servira quand même.
