Tightly woven braid. Stens is a very good brand. 100ft. Is never too much.

Good Cord
According to the LawnBoy parts site, this Stens 146-923 cord was very close to the correct diameter (#5.5, 11/64") for my LawnBoy 10520 with the F Series engine. Had to look around some to determine this diameter - my original cord was thinner, hence broke. I was a little concerned it would not all coil up right at this thickness, but it worked fine and did not run out of room in the recoil casing. I also did not want to put in too small a diameter and not have it last. A BIC lighter works good for treating the end to stop the slight fray when you cut it. This seems like tough cord and people seem to like it................and hah, now I have enough for the next 100 years (when I am still mowing in heaven! ).

A Closer Fit for the Mower Cord
The previous Sten's rope that I bought was one step down (thinner), but this rope seems to be a closer match to the current mower rope. Seems stronger too.

Just what I needed for my snow blower!
I had some other sizes of pull start rope for my chain saw etc., but did not have the 5.5 mm size for the Tecumseh engine on my MTD snow blower that I bought used for a recreational property. replaced the broken, short rope in the pull start with about 5 1/2 feet of this and it works well. May work on my mowers too. I like to have stuff like this on hand as to not always run to the hardware store. This should last a bit and was cost effective. Amazon had replacement pull starts for about $20 but after watching a YouTube video I chose to just change the rope.

works as it should. seems stiff but worked well on my mower . have a lot of extra but hay its cheep .

Needed cord for my generator starter.
Needed cord for my generator as the stock cord broke. Tried finding some local and all I found was rope in a similar size which was about half the cost of this real starter rope. Got way more than I need but cost wise good deal and I can replace the cord on my starter if it ever breaks again, which should be a long way off.

I made the mistake and purchased very fine cord. It is amazing how durable this stuff is. In the right diameter you would not need 100 ft for personal use. Would purchase again, but likely will not have to.
