I'm sure it would be great...if it worked.
I bought this Hantek 6074 to perform a comparison a software and hardware comparison against my more expensive Autel MP408, which is supposedly rebranded Hantek.Day 1:Received new scope. Immediately installed drivers and Hantek program on my Win 10 laptop. Plugged in scope and everything was working fine.Didn't have any cars to test it out on so I just played around with the controls and checked it against the internal waveform generator. All seemed to be ok.Day 2:Boot up laptop, start up Hantek program, plug in scope using the supplied USB cable. Immediate crash. Tried again with same results.Due to the fact that it instantly crashes as soon as USB is plugged in to tool, I suspect a physical hardware or USB cable problem, not driver issue.It isn't worth risking my equipment and wasting my time to troubleshoot a brand new item that should just work. Returned for refund.YGWYPF

I've had this tool a couple of months the scope and the software work very good minus the occasional freeze up at times. Channel one on my scope has come out of calibration for some reason its a couple of milli volts off not a problem especially for the price point. If you are considering buying this over a Pico scope I would buy this one. If you are in an Automotive shop like I've worked in you wont have time to be looking for high speed glitches. Long story short if you learn to use this scope and connect it properly to you circuit and interpret the wave form you will find a problem if one exists! Speaking of high speed I've used two channels on this scope to look at CAN BUS signals without a problem except I didn't know what I was looking at.

The download
It was great tool after got download to download put disk in with only black plug plugged in after you download it you got to have to turn off your signature sign off the main windows setting you can look it up on Google search. Once I did it worked great hope it helps someone else that why I am doing this so if the scope wont connected try this it worked for me God bless and good luck

Wrong Description advertised of this scope Hantek
This USB oscilloscope is not channel isolated as advertised. All Channel's ground are tied together and to the USB chassis connector as well.

Be aware that maximum voltage is 35 volts! Useless for modern diesel injector actuation monitoring.

Might work for some things, but it is not a great scope.
The Hantek 6074BE, upon first impression, is quite good. The sampling rate is incredibly high along with bandwidth that is quite good for an automotive scope. However, there are several things that make this scope almost unusable. First, it only has a 16,000-64,000 memory. That means that it forgets everything that it saw after it runs out of memory. Once it is off the screen, it's gone forever. Good luck catching a glitch or intermittent waveform. Second issue is that the software sucks. It is so laggy that the image won't show up on the screen for several seconds after the event has occurred. This happens when the memory on the machine is stressed.I had an OTC genisys scope for years and wanted to upgrade it. I chose this Hantek as it was cost effective. It is not as good as the OTC (which is not known for being very good). Ultimately, I ended up purchasing a Picoscope. That is the only way to go if you truly want a capable scope.
