Mag 524W3 4K , Built-in Dual Band 2.4G/5G WiFi, HDMI Cable (Much Faster Than Old Mag 324w2 and 424W3) Black

I wanted to buy a linux settop box and found Infomir Mag 524w3 exactly what I wanted. Once you fine tune it, it will give you robust streaming. Few things to note: Before connecting to your server, do the following:1) set buffer to 5002) disable HDMI ECE from the advanced menu so switching off your box will not turn off TV.3) set your resolution 1080p-60 (max) if you have HD TVCons: When we need to change the Advanced configuration, you have to reboot. While connected to the server, menu does show settings, but not the advanced.

No Bluetooth. Good box. NO TECH SUPPORT WHAT SO EVER.When you call for tech support the recording comes like as if he wants to talk to you but it’s prerecorded & then it gets disconnected. Same thing again & again try to fool you as if there’s phone problem but it’s all fake. AW

Good product but Looses connection frequently many times!

There are plenty of <$50 ip boxes to run your portals on but I got talked into this one per recommendation of someone and now I regret it.1. The box DOES NOT turn on the first attempt. You have to take the batteries out of the remote and switch the places. extremely frustrating2. Box will not turn off if you have turned the TV off already. You must remember this sequence3. Every time you turn it on (after much frustration) it will start loading everything from the beginning..I only asked the seller to replace the remote without complaining about the rest of the issues and his response was. "the accessories have only 30 days warranty, you can just BUY another remote".

The user interface is designed for ease of use, and while the initial setup presented a hurdle, I was able to overcome it with the help of readily available video tutorials online.

Works well

I recently bought a Mag 524 box and everything was great but there was one annoying issue that I had to search around to find the solution. Autoplay was an issue. It wouldn’t give me a chance to scroll through any channels and would instantly play the channel the ‘play’ icon was on.This issue was resolved by going to Home > Settings > Video > HDMI event reaction. Change this setting to 1 minute or more.This then gave me time to look through the channels and double press ‘ok’ to select the channel I wanted.

Overall a decent product which is sufficiently fast to navigate and quality of video and audio is good. The native app is not great, there are better apps on android platforms, but this one does the job. However, my device worked well only for first 9 months, then started having connectivity issues and finally stopped connecting to wi-fi altogether. Got it working again with help from tech support but that lasted only one more month before becoming practically unuseable
