Warm, Comfortable, and Fits Great!
Picked up this Smartwool Cuffed Beanie in black, and it’s quickly become my go-to hat for colder weather. The merino wool is super soft, not itchy at all, and does a great job keeping my head warm without overheating. It’s lightweight but still provides plenty of insulation, whether I’m out hiking, working outside, or just running errands. The fit is spot on—snug enough to stay put without feeling too tight. It also stretches a bit, so it should work for most head sizes. I like that it’s not overly bulky, so it’s easy to toss in a pocket when I don’t need it.Overall, this is a solid beanie that’s well-made and comfortable. If you want something warm, breathable, and durable, Smartwool knocked it out of the park with this one!

Smartwool is just the best
Warm, thin, low profile, fits comfortably but not too tight or loose. I can wear it with my eyeglasses and no pinching. I got the dark red and it looks nice. I have lots of Smartwool products from socks to running shirts and base layers. It’s just dependable and good quality.Update 1/25: we just had a couple of weeks of below-zero temps (just like everyone else in the US I guess!). This hat is incredible. It kept me warm even in the wind. With zero bulk, it stashes easily in my jacket pocket.

Great quality and warm
I have read a lot of negative and so-so reviews of this beanie and I disagree completely. I think it's fantastic. I bought it for a trip to Belgium in winter time and used it daily for 2 weeks. Provided enough warmth despite being fairly thin (I personally don't like bulky hats) and looks refined. It's held up well and easily slips into a coat pocket when you don't need it. I have a 7 1/4 inch hat size and it fits with zero problem. It's a beanie, NOT a full size sock hat. That's what beanie means folks. It covers enough of my ears to keep them warm, while maintaining slim proportions. I think it's the best overall beanie I've owned. A+

Pleasantly warm, not heavy, not itchy, you forget your are wearing it
Loved it, bought 2, for me and my son, I used to have another one just like it, but my son wanted it after shaving his head in the cold winter and I regretfully gave it to him but felt bad since he at the moment he needed it more than me. Immediately I ordered another spare for him and a replacement for me.The thing I like most about it is not heavy but very warm and not itchy!

Sized a little small, excellent quality
Pure merino, soft, warm, light and breathable. Unfortunately it fits a little tight on my big but not huge head. Still wearable and still excellent. Make it 20% bigger and it would be a 10/10

Thin, warm, wool, great.
Thinner than I was initially expecting, but have come to appreciate it for active cold weather pursuits. Suitable for Fall-Spring use. I wear it constantly, throw on the hood if very cold, and like the wool thermoregulatory properties.

Sleek and comfortable!
This is the perfect running hat for colder weather! It’s light to wear yet keeps you warm even through the winter runs! It has even washed nicely in the washing machine. Definitely a great buy for a runner!

Exactly what I was hoping for
I wanted a small, lightweight beanie that I could keep in my bag to use if my rapidly-balding head got cold while out and about, and this fit the bill. It's super light and can be folded up to barely larger than a handkerchief, but provides very nice warmth for reasonably chilly spring or fall days here in Northern CA (I'd get a heavier beanie if you live in Chicago or Minneapolis in the winter).I saw a lot of people saying that it wasn't a good fit for larger heads, and out of the packaging that's true. I wear a size 8 or 8 1/8th fitted cap, so I know what it's like to have to settle for too-tight hats. What I did was stretch it over a youth basketball my daughter has (slightly smaller than a regulation NBA basketball) and then poured boiling water over the whole thing, soaking it thoroughly. I then put it out in the sun to dry, still on the basketball. An hour or so later it was dry and it had stretched just enough to be a perfect fit while maintaining its elasticity. Very happy with the result, and very happy with the product.
