Easy to fly, well built, FUN
This isn't the first remote control helicopter we've purchased for our 9 year old. She had one two years ago that was difficult to control, and damaged easily. I was somewhat skeptical of this one, despite all of the great reviews. But once we started using it, it has been fantastic. It's all about the gyroscope. So much easier to control than the RC helicopters without one. It is easy to move the copter up and down and fly it around the room. There was virtually no learning curve. It's a pick up the controller and have fun device. While there are plastic pieces on this, the main body and landing skids are metal (not the green overlay, but underneath) and sturdy. The only part I can see potentially having to replace are the rotors, but if you are careful, they will last. The only knock against it is the short battery life. It takes 45 minutes to get a full charge on the helicopter battery, which is built in and not replaceable. For that 45 minutes, you get 6 or 7 minutes of flight time before it's done. Not a very long time.Despite the short battery life, it is so easy to control and fun to fly, I'm still very pleased with the product and recommend it - for ages 8 and up.

Good When It's Up, Beastly When It's Down
Super duper fun! I bought this for my 9 year old son, and the whole family (husband especially) has enjoyed playing with it.PROS: Fun to fly. Once you get the hang of the steering, you can do all sorts of neat tricks. It's mesmerizing and exciting to watch. The metal body is more sturdy that its plastic counterparts. Definitely the best for its price.CONS: Rotor blades break very easily. Buy an extra set of blades at the same time so you have them on hand. The blades on ours started hitting each other, so we ordered new parts and took the thing apart, but it doesn't come with instructions on how to put it back together! I couldn't find anything helpful on their website, and the youtube videos were often unclear. After a LOT of trial and error, I think we got it. But it still doesn't seem to fly as high or for as long. If you disassemble yours, take pictures at every step, and hey, post them on the world wide web for the benefit of all mankind! Also, it flies for 5-8 minutes, but takes 40 minutes to charge. Attention Syma: wouldn't it be great to have a removable battery, so you could buy several of them, switch them out quickly, and keep on flying!?! I'm really on to something there.

Battered, beaten, even submarined & STILL FLIES...
I expected VERY little. This thing works great, flies for a good period, short charge.. EXTREMELY easy to fly and is.. I'm convinced: Indestructible. It has been crashed innumerable times, into ceiling fans, stuck in trees (keep it inside) & even spent a few minutes at the bottom of my pool, in the deep end, under 9' of water. It dried out and flew 30 minutes later. I'm a disabled Vet so I have a ton of R/C stuff but this little thing is fun and was a big surprise. The cover is gone, its now held together by duct tape and looks like a mess, has bent and chewed blades because of all its been through (my cats use it as bird catching practice) and it still holds a good charge and flies as well as it did on delivery. And you can't beat the price. I figured 2-3 flights and it'll break. For $20 I considered it a throw away but I was wrong.

Fun gift for any age!
Very nice quality helicopters. The only down side is that the battery charge doesn't last very long - but it charges fairly quickly too. These are easy to use and are so fun. My family laughed so much when we were learning to fly these things - which brings me to the point that they are very durable! We have crashed into countless things - the ceiling, the floor, the TV, each other, etc. and both helicopters remained intact. There were several times that I thought - that's it it's dead! But NO they keep going. They are a lot of fun. My kids were 7 and 11 when we first purchased these - fun for all ages! And the price is quite reasonable!

Fun for adults too!
I've only had one day with the S107G so far, but I already love it! The controls are very intuitive, and it's a ton of fun to play around with. Also seems very durable, as I had a number of crashes, and it did not take any damage. A few things to be aware of if you're thinking about buying this:It is small and light, so even a slight breeze will have a profound effect on your flying. I even noticed it being pushed by air from my AC vents inside the house! Outside, it will not work at all unless it's a very still day.The helicopter is powered by a tiny, lightweight battery (or maybe just a capacitor, hard to tell). This means you'll only get 6-7 minutes of flying time for every hour of charging. Not too far off from most small RC toys, but something to be aware of.Small movements on the control sticks translate to large movements in the helicopter. Just be careful, and move the sticks slowly, and you'll be fine.Overall, I love this toy. My sons loved it too, even though they are too young to control it yet. They just thought it was fun to watch me fly it around! Also, if anyone knows of a way to make the thing move forward faster, I'd love to hear it. Mine is rather slow.
