The paddle itself is GREAT!! Very lightweight and comfortable
The paddle itself is GREAT !! Very lightweight and comfortable. However... only giving it a 4-star rating. It came to me scratched and didn't have a zip-up cover. Considering what it cost, I should not have had these issues. Decided not to send it back. The scratch isn't that big a deal since it is something that's meant to be played with. More care should have been taken by somebody to make sure that the purchase experience was more positive.

Very satisfied!
LOVE THIS PADDLE!! My previous (and first) graphite paddle was a rimless one which I loved but the center finally died after consistent use and hence my search. I really do enjoy the finger grip tho I had to get used to it as my other paddle didn't have that feature. I started seriously playing Pb 1/12 years ago taking lessons, leaguing, usually playing 2-3 times a week. Am addicted! This paddle is comfortable in my hands and feels and sounds great with every hit. Highly recommend! Great price and fast s&h.

... my wife and one for me because they had good reviews and also were advertised as "light weight"
Ordered one for my wife and one for me because they had good reviews and also were advertised as "light weight". Not lightweight! I returned my wife's paddle because it was too heavy.

Three Stars
Didn't care for the feel of this paddle, ball came off the face to hard.

Nice design, comfortable grip, excellent paddle for the soft game.
I've been playing with the Onix Z5 Graphite for about 18 months and I wanted to try something different because I was tired of placing my paddle down in the "waiting to play line" and seeing half or sometimes more of the paddles in line identical to mine. Probably should have piI should have not bought a blue Z5. I've been playing with Medalist Wave about 6-7 times so far including a tournament where I played 12 matches and I haven't seen another Medalist yet. The design catches the eye of quite a few players who were asking me about it. The only thing I miss about the Z5 is the friction on the surface that makes spinning easier. This isn't a show stopper for me though, since spinning is not a big part of my game. I do prefer the thicker grip on the Medalist. I find it tends to slip much less than the Z5 when my hand gets sweaty. What I really like about the Medalist is that it has more control and less pop which has helped my soft game so far. My reaction time seems to be the same with both paddles. The Z5 does appear to have slightly more power but that is not a huge factor for the style of play I prefer. I've been bringing both paddles to play but so far, I haven't found a reason to go back to the Z5. Thanks Pickleball Pros for a great paddle! Oh yeah, I paid $40 less for the Medalist.

Surprisingly Fun!
When we first heard of Pickleball, neither my husband nor myself were sure if it was for us. I have spent a lot of years battling health issues and while I am improving and desire more activity, I hesitate to take on things that might cause me set backs. The light weight paddles and shorter courts make this perfectly suitable for a person getting back to fitness. The paddle itself was attractive, comfortable to hold and we'll made. I have a feeling we will be playing pickle ball a long, long time!

seller is good, paddle was a dissapointment
Several issues with this paddle: there was lint or threads under the painted surface on the face of the paddle in several areas. Along the edges of the paddle was excess glue from the rubber edging. Discription state the handle length is 5", actually measures 4 1/2" (I have large hands and need the 5" length). Paddle was returned.
