this boot is so stiff that the transmission pops out of gear

Make sure what type of what your transmission is.
I Had a 1968 CJ5 with a T-86. There is a tag on the top of the transmission. This did not fit.

A little small for the stock hole on my 1978 CJ5

This was not the right size as advertised and it was more expensive to return it. So I’m stuck with it. Booo
