Pricey: Yes. Worth it: ABSOLUTELY!
During the summer when we are limited to only exercising on or in the water, this has been the best option we've ever had to stay in shape. You can use arms only, or legs only to workout both muscle groups. I go out 2-3 hrs at a time, most days - including rough waters, big rollers, and strong winds. When you use the rudder it will maintain its course while you paddle or use the fins, even in those rough conditions. It is exhilarating! I lost weight, and muscle tone increased significantly. The 2016 version is the way to go because of the new seat - comfortable. Both it and the fins are customizable so that people of different sizes can enjoy it : I am 5'4" , my husband is 6'4". One of the best investments we've ever made.
