It's much clearer than the headset mic or using a laptop built in mic.Marked it down half a star as the mic mute button is a local mute, it does not integrate with software (Microsoft Teams for example).That said, great for the price. I wanted a mic that would work on my laptop for my media videos, I had bought some before and not been happy with them, this was a good price and I had a discount too, Once put together, which was easy I put in the usb which has a good size cord about two metres and then all I had to do was adjust the settings on my sound, which was down low again. I will be doing my first video with it tonight and I am pleased I wont have to upload my videos twice in order to increase the sound. So good price, good value and great sound.

The cable supplied with the microphone did not work as the computer wouldn’t recognise the microphone and kept saying the setup had malfunctioned. Luckily I had a spare identical cable and once I tried that the computer recognised the microphone and worked properly. The sound quality from the recording is good and the amplification is a good level requiring minimal increase in gain. The quality of the tripod is adequate as the screw mechanism doesn’t provide a tight fit but it is stable. The gain knob doesn’t have a maximum or minimum but the mute button does work.

Bought this for my wife doing zoom meetings and podcasts after the microphone on her laptop stopped working. This works great and has great adjustment with good length of wire so you can move it around to suit your setup. Sound quality was great and wife is made up with it after using it several times already. Much better quality sound than a built in microphone and well worth the price which included a discount when I purchased. Super fast delivery by Amazon as usual too.

The one I received was defective and was returned - as it recorded a loud, constant high-pitched whine over the top of everything.Pro's:The microphone body and stand are solid and heavy, and feel robust. It comes with a fairly long USB cable for connectivity.Con's:The recording quality was tinny and lacked bass (not sure if this is due to it being defective or not)...The one I received had a loud high-pitched whine recorded over everything. I tried various settings to remove this with no success.The "volume" knob has no upper or lower limit, you can just twist it in either direction forever - which means you have no idea what your recording level actually is.
