The experience as a user has been really smooth and quick to learn. The razor is sleek and really easy to handle. The pin that joins the two halves together is nice with some stiffness which makes the blade secure so it doesn’t flop around while you’re using it. The only negative I have is that the dynasty version appears like a slightly darker green when in reality it is mint color. I was not a major fan of that because I was really expecting a darker green but the mint is a fine color and the quality of the razor is nice still. I reached out to customer support when I first received the razor and they explained that the dynasty color is actually mint and so that was that but they were responsive over text and email which I appreciated.

Great razor! It’s precise, comfortable and the angle of the body tapers into a natural hold and shave once you lay it on your skin. My only recommendation for future iterations is less cutesy colors, and more on the stainless steal long lasting look, only time well tell how the paint holds up, as I prefer the stainless look and feel especially for after shave cleaning and maintenance. Overall great and very usable

I got the gold and black one. Never used one of these before, first time I had 20 little nicks, but by the 3rd time I could line up my beard perfectly with no nicks at all. Plenty of blade exposure for a rookie and blade stays perfectly secure. Best grooming upgrade I’ve ever done. Looks very cool and is very comfortable to hold and use. I dry it before storing it and it hasn’t rusted or lost paint yet.

At first I really loved this razor, especially the color (Dynasty green). I really enjoyed how light the razor was, as it was really easy to hold and maneuver, and the exposed blade was helpful in seeing exactly where you were cutting. However, the fact that the razor was so light meant I had to use a little more pressure when shaving, and the extended blade was sometimes difficult to maneuver in tight areas, such as under the nose. This led to the occasional nicks. Furthermore, the metal insert (where the blade rests) began sliding out of the handle, meaning I had to adjust my hand position to keep the insert in place while I shaved, and that contributed to the nicks. Overall, while I initially loved this razor, I found I had to use another straight razor with a little more heft for my needs. I gave the razor to a friend who enjoys using it, so it wasn't a total loss. If the insert had remained stable, I may have kept it.

Been into the wet shaving game awhile, and have used a handful of Shavettes like this. Shaving one’s self they are very functional for razor line up, edging in beard, shaving your back neck, etc. If you had a barber give you a hot towel classic shave they would likely use one of these. This one is decent for the money. I bought the non-colored version, have kept it clean and dry, and it has performed well this past year since buying. I reserve it for the aforementioned tasks but rarely use a folding Shavette like this to shave my face. I don’t recommend someone looking to learn the rudiments of straight razor shaving start with a razor like this. The cost is very compelling for a Shavette that uses 1/2 DE blades but I believe the reward to risk is very low, and one might get quickly discouraged. A setup like this gives very little feedback but you will see the weepers and red much more than one might see using a fixed blade straight. Not to say one can’t learn to get a good shave with a folding DE Shavette, but it takes a lot more concentration and practice. The weight and feedback needed aren’t there. Both starting and repositioning the blade gently on the face at the perfect angle are super critical. Second, one’s lather game must be perfect to ensure proper cushioning. If one is dead set against learning to strop and possibly hone a fixed blade straight, I believe the Feather folding straights and blades are the best alternative to learn straight razor shaving although they are pricey. The second alternative I’d recommend is something like the Goodfellas Smile Shibumi Kamisori Razor. It uses the DE blades and I find the weight and balance of this razor (or one similar) give better control & feel than any folding Shavette. YMMV

Do not leave this one inside your barbicide jar.It won’t last a month if you do it.

I've had this razor for about a month. Learning to use it did not take long. The company's video was great instruction. I have a closer shave and less irritation than with my expensive electric shaver or any cartridge razor I've tried. I've taken it with me on overnights in my backpack and the finish seems very durable too.

This came with paint chips and I could tell that more paint was going to come off as soon as I started using it. I returned it immediately and wouldn't buy from the brand again.
