Don’t rush it. A second soak in sugar water makes it perfect!
I spent probably 2 hours deciding which boba to buy and I’m SO happy I went with this one!For delivery: Mine came air vacuumed, heavily bubble wrapped, in a tough box. Not dent or bump on it. Plus it came with a note saying it is fragile and if it was damaged to let them know and they will replace it!For preparing: It’s amazing if you follow instructions. Here’s my detailed advice for perfect boba:Make sure to boil enough water and make sure it’s a heavy rolling boil. Make sure to use a bigger pot because you want it hot so a lot of the water boils out. Carefully get it out of the package and add it in.THEY DO EXPAND. Don’t add too much or you’ll waste some- my first attempt I did enough for 5 people to be have almost too much.Add in little by little. (I do it with a spoon). Stir!! I set my Alexa timer and stir every 3-5 minutes- make sure they don’t stick. The initial one when you put it in stops them from clumping. Sometimes I boil it an extra 2-3 minutes. One last stir.Cover. Like rice- you don’t want to let the heat or steam escape. Stir good, cover, then remove from heat. Set another timer 25-30 minutes. Leave it alone.Put in a small strainer. Rinse with cold water until the gel it creates is gone. Rinse for 1-2 minutes while swooshing it in circles. I use my sprayer to get it a little harder and speed it up.They are not sweet. If you want to add some sweetness to it and make them even softer keep going.Rinse your pan well and wipe it out. Add it cool water and dissolve sugar in it. I add it a good amount (think koolaid) because it needs it to absorb the flavor. Add your boba back in. Lit sit for 30 minutes to an hour depending your taste.I make chai at this point (I found some instant vanilla chai that is amazing with it - big train vanilla chai- stir it well with milk; still looking for other flavors)Once the time is up you add it in with a spoon and make sure to drain out the sugar water.Add in your boba straw and your set.It takes a while and we don’t always do the second soak but I add some time to the first one then.TLDR; don’t rush, treat it like rice with the resting it after. A second soak in sugar water makes it sweeter and softer!

EXACTLY the tea-shop quality bobba you are looking for!!
These bobba are EXACTLY what you get at the tea shops. The quick 5-minute bobba sold from other vendors are close, but not the same as the shops but this is 100% it! Takes about 45 mins to make, but well worth the wait. Make sure to pour out on a flat surface and remove broken bobba before cooking - also ONLY ADD TO BOILING WATER! If you add to water less then boiling they instantly crumble into mush.TOP NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I purchased these and got two factory sealed bags, however the experation date was only about 30 days in the future. After opening, about 20% of the balls were falling apart. Reached out to manufacture and returned for a replacement with a much more recent manufacture date.

Super quality, longer cooking
Love the flavor and texture of these. Excellent quality. They take longer to cook but maybe that’s what makes them taste better than the others I’ve had. Half our vs 15 minutes.

Preparation takes some effort.
The product is tightly packaged in plastic, but suffers from quite a bit of breakage of the delicate uncooked boba. One must first sort out the broken bits (think picking over dried beans or peas prior to cooking) Then it is boiled for 25 minutes, rested for 25 minutes, drained and shocked in cold water. Another inspection is needed to sort out boba that are not now whole spheres. The cooked boba are sturdy, but tend to stick together unless kept in a broth of highly sugared water. The instructions seem to imply they should be consumed straight away, but I have kept them several days in the fridge with no apparent deterioration, beyond having to stir them to loosen the clumps. In short, very good, but more work than I bargained for.

Boil water first
These worked wonderfully as soon as I realized you need to add them to already boiling water.

Fine Boba, Bad Cleanup
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Unfortunately, this product gave me quite a few headaches. I tried cooking it 3 different times, and each time something went wrong. When I added the Boba pearls to boiling water, they started to dissolve. By the end, the water turned into a thick gel, and a sticky layer baked onto the bottom of the pot—making cleanup a pain. I had to soak the pot for hours just to loosen it. The gel also clogged up my colander, which was another hassle. While the cooked pearls turned out fine, the cleanup just isn’t worth it. I won’t be making these again.

Very good
These were easy to make and nice and chewy in smoothies which I wanted. Not sweetened. I should have followed directions better as I made the whole pack in error and they really do expand. Realize now pack was 2 cups. Cooked pearls are storable in fridge. Package is not resealable. Will purchase again.
