I can't swallow big capsules & I couldn't find anything but capsules in the stores where I live so I ordered these. I can cut them up to take. I do get some flushing & a little itch but not too bad. I don't mind as it shows me it's working. The price is right for what you get & quality seems to be there consistently. Will definitely buy again.

So the supplement is good but it’s not flush free. I don’t get the flush all the time but when I do it’s very uncomfortable! Red, hot, itchy skin all over! Because it’s bad when I get it I don’t know if I want to keep taking it. Good price tho.

I have been taking slo-niacin for years now. 21st Century is the same quality as the other name brand at a much more affordable price - and it's prolonged-release! All the niacin supplement brands claim that theirs is "no flush" - Believe me, there's no such thing. When I first started taking it, I'd flush all over my front upper body. Yes, others do notice. This has tapered off since I've been taking it so long. Nevertheless, I take it in the morning so that any flushing won't wake me up at night. I take it as part of my cholesterol control routine and can vouch for its effectiveness. I buy it with Subscribe & Save so that I never run out and don't have to remember to order each time it runs low.

I suppose that the product supplies the necessary nutrients but it causes my face to flush. This is a common side effect with niacin but I didn’t expect it with this product. It will not harm you but you can feel uncomfortable for a few minutes I will probably quit taking it

I'm trying my best to replace my Statin since I had all the side effects but one. I had to stop taking it. I did a ton of reading on how to lower cholesterol and supposedly the slow release niacin is the ticket. Once in awhile I get flushing but usually not. Hoping it's working because I'll gladly take a little flushing over all those gnarly statin side effects. That said, I have not gone in for a blood test yet to see my cholesterol level. The quality seems great, the pills are a little big, but not giant or anything. They're not hard to swallow or anything. The price of this brand is extremely fair as well.
