Fabulous return to the Isles of Scilly
As always this author is a fantastic story teller. He makes you fall in love with the characters, or hate them, haha. I bought this as a second novel, not connected to "Why the Whales Came", but also set on the Isles of Scilly and wanted to go back to that world with Morpurgo again. The story has wonderful twists and turns and addresses many societal issues surrounding World War 1. Full of love and hope and sadness. Human feelings and well worth the read.

entretenidísimo
Fenomenal escrito como todo lo de Morpurgo, precioso. Muchísima imaginación y unas descripciones maravillosas. Se disfruta de la lectura, tanto niños como mayores

The book really captures the heart of it's readers- it is a very touching story in the time of world war 1 about a girl who survives the sinking of her ship, but is left on an island with no memory of anything. She is left with only her teddy bear and a blanket. Some people even think she might be a german spy. This book was delivered without any delay and it was delivered in perfect condition.

Fabulous novel by a fabulous author
I absolutely LOVED this novel! I have read a number of Morpurgo's books. (The Mozart Question is a gem of a little book.) He is one of my favorite children's authors and this novel has to be in the top 50 or so of my favorite children's novels ever. (I'm a children's librarian in a medium sized public library.) I had to order the paperback from the UK and I'm glad I did. Excellent book!
