Is this waterproof, for a shower?

Yes Grout Refresh will work in the shower. Of course make sure the grout is dry when you apply and allow 24hrs once Grout Refresh is applied before getting wet.

Can this be used to lighten fireplace grout/ mortar?

Yes Grout Refresh is designed for cement, epoxy, urethane and acrylic grouts.

Can this be used on grout that was previously sealed with a solvent based sealer?

I am sorry but it will not give the intended results.

How long do I have to wait to clean my tile? I waited 24 hours but when I got it wet it just came up off the grout like rubbery goo.
