It fits my Reliance Jug fine
It works, glad I don't have to throw out my Reliance 7 gallon water jug because I lost my spigot!

Good Spigot
This is great, I revived my old round water jug which has served me well but the screw on top had cracked.

These spouts were exactly what I wanted!
I love these new spouts. I needed replacements for our 2 water containers and I really appreciate that I was able to get these from Amazon. Total convenience for me! The two 6 gallon jugs I have are fine but a tenant of mine broke the dispenser right off of one of them and the other spout was getting rather difficult to turn after years of use but the new ones function perfectly. They are very easy to turn. Also the directions to assemble them were easy to follow and this brand fits perfectly and it's tight so no leaks at all. The best thing is that it was very cost effective to get these spouts rather than replace the whole container.

Threads may not fit old jugs
Used to replace damaged valves on two older (2010) Reliance blue 7.5 gallon water jugs. Large red cap threads appear to be slightly different than original white caps from 2010. Was able to get one to thread on by lining up starter threads and pressing down hard before turning but took a lot of force to turn it even after lubing with silicone grease. The second one just would not start on either jug, so I used the new water valve to replace the broken one on my old white cap (no problem there, the valve stem fits easily). These jugs and caps are inexpensive plastic parts so I didn't expect them to fit like expensive machined parts.

Good replacement cap; only time will tell on its durability
This appears to be a good replacement cap so far. I have a 5 gallon Reliance water container, and the old one would still be fine, if not for the fact that where the spigot attaches, the plastic cap actually split from tension caused by the screwing in of the spigot. Now whether this replacement cap is made of a more durable material and will result in a longer time of ownership, I can't say. What I can say right now is that the cap fits well with no leaking, the spigot screws in securely with no leaking, and the spigot lever allows water release and prevents water leakage when closed. I like the red color, although that's obviously minor, but the price seemed fair for a replacement. I would purchase again if need be, unless I find that another stress fracture occurs on the cap over time.

works great on our 7 gal jugs from 10 years ago!
after leaving 2 containers in the garage in a desert area for 5 brutal summers - they cracked & technically had a successful attempt at repair & decided I didn't want to run the risk of losing half a spigot inside the container so I took a gamble the company didn't change the size of the opening over the years (10 to be exact) & when it arrived, so glad it fit! I wish they had improved on the design & figured out how to create a "dust cover" - as you see in the photo, we have to tape it up & it unfortunately leaves tape gunk after while. I'm expecting this spigot to last another 10 years! let's see...

Reliance Products Replacement Spigot Assembly
I'm giving this 3 stars because I continually have to replace these spigots for the Reliance Water Containers. I love the containers themselves, they seem to last forever, have been using them for 30 or 40 years, can't remember it's been too long. The containers, of various styles and types that take this spigot are good containers and stand up to a lot of use, not abuse. And I love the convenience of the spigots, they're so handy around camp. BUT, I've had to replace the spigot assembly countless times on different jugs, I own several, and am now ready to actually write the company and tell them they need to beef up there assembly, the CAP PART SPECIFICALLY, that the spigot screws into. This is the part that always cracks and then you have a leaking jug and it's pretty much worthless until you replace the cracked cap. All the other parts seem to do OK, so I have a lot of spare parts for the other stuff. All I really need is the cap part, that's the one that fails. So I always carry an extra spigot assembly with me. This should not be happening. They'd probably say I'm over tightening it or something, but I worked for a water dept. for 30 years and know you don't do that. You have to tighten it enough to not leak while at the same time not over tightening. But sometimes the spigot doesn't line up for you to use the jug in the way you're suppose to, with it laying down and the outlet of the spigot in the downward position. So sometimes I use some Teflon tape so it won't leak and you don't over tighten. But, alas, the cap still wants to crack. There's just something weak about that part. They may last a good long while, but then you never know when it's going to split, so I recommend you to carry a spare. Maybe one of these days I'll get tired of buying these replacement assemblies and look for another brand of water jug to see how long one lasts.

Screw on cap did not fit my water carrier
The spigot on my blue reliance water carrier had broken and this has provided replacement. Only three stars however as the the the screw on cap does not fit my carrier even though it is the correct brand and size in the description. Unsure why this is but I managed to remove the old broken spigot from the original cap and use it with the new spigot.

Works on my 20yr old Oval
Aah, you might not like the colour, but it threads on perfectly. The rear spikey water stopper was an added bonus. Fantastic replacement, otherwise we'd have needed to buy a whole new setup. Read the instructions about the 1 drop of vegetable oil on the spout. It's a super tight fit

Very tight
The replacement fits my Reliance jug perfectly. However the valve of the spigot is almost impossible to turn, I needed to use clamp pliers to turn it, and it feels like its going to snap off. However the instructions say to use cooking oil before assembly, so maybe I'll try that next time.
