Fenix Cycles Wanda Road Raised Center P148 Bicycle Tire, 27" x 1 1/4" Bike tire

If you're just looking for replacement tires for a road bike, I recommend you look elsewhere. These tires, with their rised center, would be better suited to someone who is looking specifically for them. Having a raised center makes these tires very dangerous in turns, especially at high speeds. Several times I've lost traction while cornering and almost wiped out. There is little to no tread on the area surrounding the raised center, and the transition from center to shoulder is abrupt. It's not good.Also, the raised center makes it very difficult to ride hands-free, such as when resting after a difficult bit of road. The narrow track is easily influenced by small changes in the road texture and the direction of travel can change instantly.These tires are dangerous, so make sure you re looking for them for a reason. There are other tires with standard tread designs and cool colors.

There were some poor reviews of these tires, but I bought them anyway, because they are hard to find for vintage bikes. They arrived early, were well packaged, and fit my 27" wheels. They also look great on my old Free Spirit 10-speed, purple tires, blue bike frame! It had been above the garage for years, and the original tires were rotted. When I got these on this week, took a short 6 mile ride and they were great. They gave new life to my 30+ year old bike, and I really enjoy riding it again.

i opened this and was very confused the tires were dirty and ripped contacted seller no response do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere as cool as they look they are not worth it

Tire began to bulge after a couple of weeks of riding. Could have been my error whether hardware or install, but doesn’t usually seem to happen with other tires. I’m a daily commuter rider. Only 70psi max, More of an issue with myself not reading the description more closely. On the positive, Tire looks cool and is a nice vibrant red. I had a Chen shin tire in red that served me well until it started to wear out naturally so imma get another one of those.

LOVE these tires so far!! I got the purple ones and they are slightly lighter than what is pictured. However, I think it's better because they are very obviously purple (which ya dont see very often!). Taken them on two, 13 mile rides and so far so good. They seem to be holding up well. I'm VERY tempted to buy all the colors available; change up the color every couple weeks, ya know? Why not?

The color on these is great. They're probably not premium tires but for $18/ea and a size that's difficult to find they're great. Unexpected side benefit is that they make your bike really easy to spot on a crowded bike rack.
