4 Gallon Fruit Press + Stainless Basket

We used this to process the last of our apple crop from the garden into cider. Very easy to use and easy to clean. Our teen age granddaughter pressed a batch and thought it was easy. Be aware of two things though. This is very heavy; sturdy but really heavy. The other thing is four gallons of crushed apples isn't as much as one might think. Our fruit crusher can produce four gallons of pulp in a few minutes. The bottleneck is putting it into a bag and pressing, then dumping the pomace and reloading. The more people working together, the better. Be aware! Crush the fruit first! Oh, by the way - BEST CIDER EVER!

I have been wanting to make cider for many years and have been wanting a press for a long time and have done a lot of research. I almost built a press of my own but with the time it would take I figured it wouldn't be worth it. I highly recommend this press it came last night very well packed in a sturdy cardboard box with a the press mounted to a nice piece of osb plywood. The stainless basket is very easy to clean as well as the detachable stainless steel catch basin. The screw is a very heavy duty acme srew that shouldn't buckle no matter how hard you crank down on it. The 4 gallon size is just right for medium to large amounts of cider. I ground the apples into a clean 5 gallon bucket and then poured them into basket. The design is nice because it folds out of the way so you dump a full load in and the twist away to produce crisp clean cider. Well worth the money; it is well made with high quality materials that will last a few lifetimes with proper care.

After years of hand squeezing to make wild grape wine, we finally broke down and bought this press. What a difference it made. Easy to set up and infinitely easier to press grapes. Saved a ton of time with less way less mess. Eliminated the one stage we have come to dread. Should have purchased years ago.The product is bulky and odd and the package did arrive with some road rash. Inside, it was well protected and not damaged in any way. Easy to set up and operate. The beefy handle allows you to easily apply pressure. The tilt feature is very nice as it greatly reduces the mess associated with pressing grapes.Very Pleased.

This thing is very heavy and very big. I can manhandle it alone, but it is much easier with two people. Permanent installation is probably the best, but it does need to be hosed down after use. The bottom plate and the cylinder are easy to remove for cleaning - but not the ram.This device extracts far less juice than your typical juicer as a percentage of fruit. It is of course much faster than a macerating juicer.

Overall a great purchase. Sturdy construction and requires some muscles for the squishing (and carrying).Suggested user edit is to cut the bottom off a 5 gal bucket for a splash guard when doing high liquid fruits like grapes. The metal sleeve is just smaller than a bucket. (Apples don’t need this, grapes do).

Well made and easy to use. I had 4 of my grandsons with me to make our first official cider from our orchard. They each took a gallon home to their families. The mesh bag I purchased with it was excellent. We had a lot of fun and made extra cider to freeze. Highly recommend this fruit press. It was also easy to clean.

The media could not be loaded. This was very easy to put together and easy to use. We have 18 apple trees and we intend to get a lot of use out of it. Very well made.
