I hope this helps other purchasers, since this was all about as clear as mud to me before I purchased this cover:1. It DOES fit the iPad Mini with retina display. It fits it perfectly. My iPad is brand-spanking new, and it's a perfect fit.2. The holes in the back of the case align perfectly with the camera and mic on the back.3. There are NO CLIPS, as described by older reviews; apparently they've updated the design since then.4. To me, the smell is minimal and not much different from any brand-new product that's constructed with glue. I'm sensitive enough to smell that perfume inserts in magazines make me crazy, and I'm not finding the smell to be an issue.I don't know how it will wear, but since I'm pretty careful with my stuff, and the stitching and construction look promising, I'm optimistic.

As others have said, it's a good product that needs some break in. The way it velcros in, it is not perfect, with the edges covering right over up to the edge of the LCD screen making it difficult to get to the swipe up control panel in iOS7 for screen brightness control. This is a problem in LANDSCAPE mode only, portrait mode is no problem as you have access to the LCD screen at the bottom next to the home botton. There is a hole for rear mic of the mini which is goodlPros: -good construction-feels good in hand, highish quality though not real leather-rear mic hole-cheap and feels like a good purchaseCons:-needs some break in-does not fit perfectly, a few mm too shallow leaves 'home' button off center from bottom cut out, i hope some more break in of the product will help with this but don't think so.-frame around edge of LCD screen a bit too 'tightly cropped' and resticts edge to center swipes, must bend frame out if need to do it in landscape mode (possible but a hack and may wear/tear the cover)

Fits in well, case is crooked. the parts of the case that cover the front of the iPad are all crooked. since i have a white iPad mini, its quite noticeable.On the top, where the case completely covers the white border on the left, it doesn't on the right side, leaving a "wedge" sliver of white showing. Its extremely annoying. The only reason i kept the case is they shipped the WRONG COLOR, and amazon offered to either return it full price, or accept a discount on the wrong product. It isn't worth the hassle of returning.I should mention, the iPad FITS PERFECTLY, but the leather the case was made from was cut crookedly, and it shows on the front of the iPad when you are using it.So far, i've personally purchased 3 CaseCrown Bold Standby cases for iPad (this is my first Pro case, for iPad mini), and also i've also influenced 6 of my family members to buy these cases. None of the other cases were this poor of quality.Also - 2 day amazon prime shipping estimated 6 days for arrival. After contacting Amazon they upgraded me to 1 day air, and the product arrived on time - Amazon is the best!!The case: looks good, feels great, iPad mini slides in great (nice and snug, no wiggle room), has all the right holes, magnets work but... Crooked.Honestly, CaseCrown makes awesome cases and i WILL purchase from this seller again, once. 1/10 is not a terrible record, but if my next case is garbage i'm giving up on them

This connector did not hook up to my TV. I thought it was because it was an older projector style. Recently, I bought a newer smart TV. Still does not work. I would not recommend buying it. It is not reliable and it is not clear what it actually works with (mobile device or Display)

Just got this case in today and I far from hate it. It is one of the best cases I have seen so far. While it is definitely thicker than a standard shell and smart cover, it is definitely a case that will protect the device from drops an normal wear and tear. This case uses their magnets in the actual case itself on the back as well as the front. This allows for the device to be turned on and off without issues an also holds flat when folded to the back in use. The accessibility with the hand strap along with the magnet makes this case very functional, especially for the college user like myself that uses handwriting applications. The case also come with a lip to hold the case in stand mode or even for FaceTime, Skype, etc when use of the cameras are needed as it prevents the back camera being covered up!I would recommend this product to anyone that needs a nice durable case. You also have access to all the buttons, speakers, headphone and charging port so you never have to remove the case.Another feature that would have been appealing would have been a slot for a stylus so that we don't need to carry one around in our pocket. Aside from that, for the price, this is a GREAT deal compared to those that start at about $50 for the same style case, which usually has less functionality unless you pay out for the better functions. This product was built with iPad mini with Retina display in mind as it has a cutout for the new back microphone.

I have tested this with my phone to display on TV's and projectors for training coworkers (and family). I've also used this with my Tablo DVR app to watch recorded shows and live TV. Works very well for what I wanted to use it for.

Was mich am meisten interessiert hätte, wenn man es vor dem Kauf in Erfahrung hätte bringen können, ist das Gewicht. Das retina iPad Mini wiegt als WiFi Version bei mir gemessen ca. 330 Gramm, die Hülle 160 Gramm, zusammen 490 Gramm.Als Vergleich: Ein von mir gekauftes TPU Cover für das größere iPad 3 wiegt nur 90 Gramm, bedeckt allerdings nur die Rückseite und die Seiten und bietet keine Aufstellmöglichkeit oder Schutz für das Display beim Transport. Ein der CaseCrown Hülle sehr ähnliches Ledercase mit identischer Aufstellmöglichkeit wiegt (für das iPad 3) 250 Gramm und eine weitere Lederhülle für das iPad 3 in meinem Besitz wiegt 300 Gramm.Ich denke, dass 160 Gramm für die Hülle ein guter Wert ist, würde aber für längere Lesesessions bei denen ich das iPad Mini in der Hand halte das iPad aus der Hülle nehmen. Ein weiterer Vergleich: Der reine ebook-Reader Tolino Shine wiegt 183 Gramm, der Kindle Paperwhite wiegt 206 Gramm. Beide haben aber nur 6 Zoll Displays und e-Ink ist natürlich auch etwas ganz anderes.Der Sitz ist gut, der Geruch nur schwach wahrnehmbar und nicht unangenehm. Das Material und die Nähte sehen ordentlich aus. Das CaseCrown Logo ist unaufdringlich und sieht ganz gut aus.Ich kann es also weiterempfehlen - allerdings ohne Langzeiterfahrungen. Its a very good product. My IPad mini often gets into the hands of my 3 year old twin boys, you can imagine what the IPad goes through, this case is exactly what I wanted, offers good protection all around including the corners hence can easily take the couple feet drops. Flip side, the case makes the IPad a little bulky and heavy but its manageable. I would recommend this case for good overall protection.

Non ce l'ho da molto. Comunque la sensazione è che sia ben fatta. Il tablet è ben coperto. Lo spegnimento automatico dello schermo alla chiusura della cover a me funziona (ipad mini retina). Insomma, col senno di poi ne comprerei almeno due per quando la prima sarà da cambiare

Rapporto qualità prezzo, ottimo prodotto. Decisamente meglio di altri acquistati fuori e pagati quasi il doppio. L'IPAD è stabile, protetto e la cornice di pelle non ostacola le funzioni del touch screen.

Bella cover, pratica e solida. I materiali sono buoni anche se non il massimo. Ottimo rapporto qualità - prezzo. Rifarei l'acquisto.
