Can I use muffins and bagels with these?

I don’t think muffins would survive the compression as it shrinks

I do not know the gauge of the plastic. It is very thin, just as thin as the plastic on the jewel case of a new CD bought from the store. That is what I use these for, to shrink wrap packaged CDs It is as thin or thinner that the home plastic wrap used in a kitchen.

Are the bags made with polypropylene?

It doesn’t say on the box it just says plastic shrink

I don’t have a sealer like is shown in the picture. I do have a food sealer. Would this work?

Use a hair dryer on high heat. I do not think a food sealer would work to shrink...I may work to seal the bag though. I use a small (and inexpensive) soldering iron and metal ruler to seal the bag and then hit the individual bagged items with a hair dryer. Works great. I use the bags to shrink wrap jewel cases.
