Bliss Casa Premium Cotton Blanket King Light Blue - Soft Breathable Thermal Blanket - Ideal for Layering Any Bed and Any Season

I purchased this in the dark purple color and I super love itI’m a hot sleeper so during the winter I use a quilt but for the summertime I’ve never been able to find the right blanket because I like one with some weight to it and I don’t like using just a sheet. Someone recommended a 100% woven cotton blanket and so I ordered this one and I absolutely love itI feel like I should warn people thinking about getting a blanket like this, these types of blankets are not soft like you might think. They are not meant to be soft, it’s a woven blanket made from all cotton, they’re meant to feel like more of a old time blanket.Which is great for me personally because they’re so breathable and heavy which is what I was looking forAlso some other brands people complain about shrinking and pulls. I only have one pull from my ring so far after two weeks but you can stretch the blanket to get rid of most of that, no issues with my dogs paws causing any pulls yet!As for shrinking it’s all about how you wash it. I washed mine on a cold delicate cycle (I used a color grabber sheet since I was washing a white cotton blanket too and it did pick up a good amount of dye) and then dried it on the lowest heat setting for 30 minutes, then air dry cycle for an hour and finished up the drying process with a 10 minute low heat setting at the end. And yes the first wash does create a lot of lint so be prepared to clean the trap three or four times throughout the drying processIf you wash it this way you’ll have very minimal shrinkageI ordered a king size for a queen bed (I normally order one size up with blankets and quilts so there’s lots of extra to go around)After washing and drying as described there isn’t any noticeable size difference!So if you’re looking for a breathable blanket that has a nice heavy feel to it, this is the one

It's thin, like 2 bedsheets put together and it smelled plastics out of the package but you should always wash your new linens anyway. I bought it for fall snuggles and it's a bit too thin for that, definitely a summer type thing , low 40degree farenhiet at max .

Washed up nice, heavy in weight and warm!
