Great little headlamp!
So far, this has been a great headlamp for me.I've used this headlamp out in nature for camping and hiking, and also to perform jobs on my car while parked in a not-so-well lit garage. Overall, this headlamp has served its purpose very well in every scenario I've used it. It has been capable of providing the right amount of light while walking through dessert and forest paths in the middle of the night, and while working on projects in dark environments such as setting up the wiring for an audio system on a car. As long as you're not in need of a flood lamp, chances are this headlamp will work for you.Comfort wise, the strap is actually very comfortable and the device itself is very light. While camping, I was able to sleep in my hammock with the headlamp on my head all night. I didn't want to deal with having to find it if I needed light in the middle of the night, so I decided to just leave it on my head. It turned out to not be a problem at all - it was as if it wasn't even on there. So the comfort was outstanding.Another cool thing about it is the vertical adjustability. It has a system that allows you to point the light lower than the plane of the eyes. This is perfect for hiking and walking in general as you can point it slightly down onto the path near your feet without having to keep your head down. The reason for not rating it 5 stars is the fact that selecting the lighting option is a sequential process. The various light strength and strobe options are awesome, but you have to go through them in sequential order to get to the one you want. Not only that, but the strobe options are at the end. This means that once you wish to turn the light off, if you don't click the button the right number of times, you'll end up with the strobe light pulsing on and off, or back at the beginning of the sequence with the steady light on. It is possible to remember the order and count the number of clicks to get to the setting you want, which I did, but after not using it for about a month I've already forgotten what those are.Though selecting the lighting option might be a bit tedious, it's really not necessarily a problem. I'd still recommend this headlamp.

Everyone needs one of these!
I'm a professional cat-sitter. I took a nasty fall in a dark garage a while back. I carry a small flashlight but it doesn't give that much light. I purchased my headlight for dark garages and yards, when I'm out before sunup. I can now find papers and it's so much easier to see locks. It's so adjustable and I live that feature. It's easy to operate. I've also found tons of uses for it at home when I'm doing close craftwork. I'm thinking that everyone should have one of these. My boss laughed and then said it's a great idea. I've ordered one for her too!

Great Buy!
The many light modes (area, dim, spot, bright beam, etc) are all incredibly useful and varied enough to make a difference between modes (unlike some that just adjust the brightness somewhat). All three LED's at the same time would be a great addition but for the price I can't complain. The band is nice and wide to not apply too much pressure on your head. Elastic is the strongest I've had on a headlamp. Not too heavy + no back of head battery pack.Would buy again (but maybe with a night-mode red option).Avid back-country backpacker/hiker. 10 yrs experience around midwest.

Now this is a light!
Purchased this for my father in law for Christmas. He said this was the best head lamp he has ever owned. He threw his old one in the trash.

Very pleased
We're pleased with this light. My husband noticed that the Sharkk LED headlamp illuminates details of objects in the center of the field of vision much better than the 2-pack Coast LED headlamps I just bought at Costco. It's comfortable to wear. Don't know yet how long the batteries last or how the light quality degrades as the batteries are used up.

ideal for dog walks
Use it for evening night dog walks; in the fall it is good to have the light to know what is moving in the leaves

Love this!!
I love this!! It's nice and bright! I thought it was a little uncomfortable on my head (I hate wearing hats, etc) so I slipped it on my thigh and it works perfectly for walking in the dark. It tilts down so I can see where I am walking. Awesome light!!

Nice and lightweight, easy to use.
Nice and bright, has 3 options for brightness and then a strobe.Had a larger unit that was too awkward to use, this one is handy, used it tonight to work on motorcycle in the dark, nice and light, comfortable to wear. Uses 3 AAA batteries, not included.
