End results are worth the effort
These 'hidden' deck fasteners are extremely easy to use and install. You end up with evenly spaced deck boards and the fasteners are not obtrusive looking. I like the extra effort they make by coating the top of the ss screws with black coating so that there is not a shiny screw head showing between the deck boards. In my environment, 15 feet of rain annually, the use of plastic instead of steel is good protection from rust and corrosion. All in all, the best product for installing decking I have found so far. Price is a little high, I would like to see them priced at under $100 for 160 sq ft of decking.

worth the price
used cox 2X deck lumber that was perfectly straight, clear, dry and expensive, so just made sense to use an attaching system that left no visible evidence. the price for the product is unreasonable, but the results to this point are exceptional. installation is not difficult once you get your biscuit joiner adjusted correctly. screws in the box are now black on the top so do not show between the joints.
