I purchased these to replace some scratched up knobs on my guitar. These are scratched up worse than the ones I'm trying to replace and have a dull paint job...they look used. They also have set screws, which were not advertised. Why would you put set screws on a spline shaft is beyond me. Even without the scratches and dull paint job, the set screw holes are unsightly and not needed. If you want used, scratched up knobs with un-needed set screws, then these are for you.

They’re under $10 –for metal knurled knobs. Sure if I paid $10 a piece I’d be a stickler, but for like $1.75 a knob they’re fantastic. The metal looks really good and mine arrived in individual baggies. No scratches but not perfect either, but for this price, I set my expectations correctly. I could tell by looking at the inserts the spline in the middle was not exactly centered. Once again... expectation management. Under $10. These are a good value, but if you have a $3000 guitar, don’t try to save $30 on knobs and then whine how these aren’t perfect. Really? They’re great for what they are, and the price I paid I considered it a really good deal.

Very nice! These are metal knobs with a decent chrome plating finish. They have a slight corner edge to them where the vertical sides round up to the domed tops. The domes are somewhat flat shaped. I added these to a guitar that came with cheap plastic top-hat style knobs. It's a nice upgrade and flows well with the appearance. Life is Good!Update (03/12/2018): I purchased a second set for my LP Custom "BUZZSAW". Life is Good!

Very heavy duty feel...These are really nice, fits perfect! The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, is they came with the top ''dome'' part scruffed up a little bit (from the warehouse I'm assuming)... Nothing worth crying about, if anything, it makes my guitar look as well played as it should be... ;) JUST A WORD OF CAUTION: They fit perfect, but there's a catch, once they're on, they're on like super glue. I'm sure you could get them off, but not without using tools, and at the risk of hurting the pots underneath... just a heads up...

Great replacement for scratched/damaged, change of colour or just because you don't like the other types. Remember to check the spline size although you can pack if necessary.Points to remember: The knob may not sit as flush as other types having no flange. There is no dot or numbers to indicate position. These knobs don't have a grub screw to lock on a solid shaft
