Good Quality
Quality product. Kids interest was drawn from the 1st touch itself. Highly recommended STEM toy.

Boat is not the best, why? I’ll tell you
Great assembly and fun to build but I run into an issue first of all description says on the robot that it comes with a battery off and on switch it actually doesn't , I payed over 15$ to get one and also why isn’t the boat shape very good ? Well because the body of the boat hits the tyre and doesn't make the boat move and important note ( it doesn't come with a controller or remote control or battery off and on holder )

This is a really nice little kit. Load of pieces to make 13 different solar powered robots. I'm working on recording a build-process video at the moment, too. The robot on the front of the box is very similar to one made by Discovery that costs more than this kit on its own. Good deal! Plastic is pretty solid. Definitely need some flush-clippers to take it to pieces. It's going to be difficult for younger kids, for sure. Probably be good for ages 10 and up, though. Will be taking this to my STEM program for upper elementary students. Directions are well documented. See the pictures I attached for an example. The directions are pretty easy to follow and the pictures are great. Should be a cinch for anyone used to building a model kit. So far, I've started on the crab walker, and it is going together really well. I'll update this review with the video once I'm finished editing!

My third-grade 8-year-old received this as a gift. It took quite a bit of time and parent help to cut apart all of the pieces, but once they were all ready, he was able to put together several of the kits on his own. He is a big fan of the Lego Technic kits, so he's used to being very careful about following directions. The instruction booklet took some careful studying for some of the kits. I appreciated that the kit came with several clear plastic bags to store all of the little pieces. Here is my son's review for a kid's perspective: Please change the ages to 8+ with help of adults. It would be easier if the instructions were in color. It would be fun if the models could turn. P.S. It's still totally cool.

maybe I got a defective product or a bad factory component but the shaft is too long

It could have been a better product if those little parts were pre-cut and separate for each type of Bot. Also, I would be careful to send as gift to others as it felt made from cheap plastic. Kids may need considerable help to cut parts and assemble them. However, overall, it was a good summer project with my 7 year old. The solar panel creates enough power to drive the Bot. It also works under 100w bulb.

Ever since my first son got to age 7, I wanted to start giving him little STEM toys to increase curiosity and knowledge. This is one of the first toys I ordered in this category and it was a hit from the time we opened. I wanted to wait a few days to see if he will continue to play with the toy and he plays with this every day, making difference combinations and at the same time asking all questions to understand how it works the way it does. I highly recommend this toy to anyone who want their kids to just start out with STEM toys and to pique interest.
