Great for garage steps leading into house!
I saw this on the exterior of a friend's RV for the two steps up. It can be open or fold flat to either side. It has a solid grip. We put one in our garage for extra support going up and down the two steps into the house. Very compact, sturdy, and provides a safe handrail where there is not room for a standard handrail. Easy install too! Just be sure you attach to a wall stud.

Works right
Good product, installation was straight forward. Material was sturdy and the stability it added for me was a blessing. The folding ability also works well , it fits flush to the wall totally out of the way for travel when moving trailer.

Nice rail but wish it was a tad smaller.
I used the rail to provide a hold for 2 stairs in my garage. Drilled and screwed a 1 by 4 board into the braces butting to the door frame as the rail screw foot was too wide for studs. Drilled and screwed the rail into this 1 by 4 and it was very solid. For a few stairs it is a bit tall. Wish it was about 6 inches shorter in height but I guess longer is better than too short. My neighbor loved the safety and support so she picked one up and I installed. Overall excellent solution.
