This is a great tool to use if you have a dog who tends to be on the strong-headed side. We have a 3 year old 80lb Doberman who shows no aggression and very friendly toward other people, but often wants to pull into the lead, pull towards other dogs, or just pull to investigate off trail on a normal leash. This stops all that. We've trained her to see this collar as a good thing, she sees it and knows it walking time! Easily slips over her head if your careful; make sure you get the right length or remove links if needed- this should not be hanging too loose, or be choking the dog.This isn't going to work miracles if you haven't properly socialized your dog or trained them at all; if you're patient and use this alongside normal training this is a wonderful tool! I've never had anyone say anything negative or give odd looks, although I know some people view these collars as a negative thing --- never once has the dog shown signs of pain or discomfort with us with this collar so I see no issue with it.

It is not the real deal of Herm Sprenger training collar.Do not buy!I brought this thinking it’s the authentic of Herm Sprenger. It’s not. It’s a china copy of the training collar.It’s a little heavier than the real deal.The black coated chipped off when I tried to take the links off to make the collar smaller.It’s little harder to remove the links compare to the original training collar.I returned the item and got my money back.

Excellent collar. My Dane and now my Newfoundland behave with this on.My only complaint is significant for me.Putting this collar on and off requires pinching the prong of a link together. While this might be easy on the smaller collars, you’d better be Superman for this one. My wife cannot pinch it enough.I work with my hands and am an ex-gymnast so my hand strength is likely above average and I struggle with the links.

High quality, authentic Herm Sprenger. Our Newfoundland is so big that we had to buy two to get enough links, but it was totally worth it. Note that we only use this when we take her out of the house on walks, to Home Depot, etc. She doesn't pull and choke herself anymore and looks regal with this bad boy on. We give a quick tug to signal to her when she's not in line, which is much better than yanking or pulling. She even gets excited when we pull it out because it means that she's going somewhere.

It is high quality. The tips are NOT as rounded as the plain stainless steel Sprenger prong collars. I was disappointed about that and will be buying vinyl tips to round the edges more. As is they are blunt, but not polished round like the plain steel Sprenger collars I saw in person.

Well it works extremely well and very durable it is extremely difficult to connect it had to use channel locks. To disassemble and remove off my dog no issues.

My dog doesn't like the prongs. turns her head every time I have to put it on her and it jingles a little so we don't keep it on at night. but at 62 lbs at 9 months old, it's the only thing that has stopped her from pulling me!

Solid, heavy duty. Well built.Comfy on the dog, he'll notice the bite, but he doesn't yelp like he did with the smaller model with smaller teeth.Most importantly, dogs white fur does not get black staining, even though this collar is black metal. It's that other nickel finish that bugs my dogs white fur.
