Good but not great for 10 x 20 trays; update
Update 2 years later: 12/20. The lights are still going strong and very useful for starting seedlings. I prefer them to 4 ft led units, but both are more than adequate for the task.I have been starting seeds for years on a four-tier stand with T8 fixtures, which was good enough for most seeds, but my tomato seedlings were too leggy. I decided to try a T5 fixture, but worried that a T5 4-lamp fixture would run dangerously hot in my 12 inch deep stand. So I purchased this stand and set it up on a table away from a wall. With one reservation, my experience so far has been favorable. The stand was well-packed and arrived without damage. Installing the T-5 lamps was a bit tricky, but they work well. The fixture is silent and not hot at all. The housing is warm to the touch and the bulbs emit some mild warmth, but nothing to be concerned about from a safety perspective. When starting seeds with the fixture two inches above two 10” x 20” trays, the fixture light did not evenly cover the trays, with the seedlings on the outer edges leaning over toward the light. I think that 10” x 20” trays require a four-lamp fixture. I can still make use of the stand, but will put 2 rather than 3 rows of 3” containers in the trays, in order to avoid the outer edges of the trays.Update 7 weeks later. By centering 2 rows of 3” containers in a 10 x 20 tray, I got good coverage for a dozen tomato starts. As I’d hoped, the starts were stocky with strong stems. As the starts grew and I raised the lights, they covered the entire horizontally placed 10 x 20 tray. Ideally, the fixture would be a few inches deeper, with the bulbs spaced further apart.

Grows seedlings and catlings
I’ve been using this light for a few months but unfortunately my cats recently discovered it and slide my seedlings out of their way to chillax under the lamp lol.

Works better than expected! Easy to put together, lightweight, and still sturdy. Best value for the price.
My wife has been using this for about a week now. She has desert plants (succulents, bells of fire [tecoma], etc.) and the temp is going down to about 30 degrees at night now. The plants got a little frost bit after leaving them out one night when the temp dropped. She had to bring them inside, but since we don't get enough sunlight indoors, she bought this setup to keep them growing throughout the colder months. She did a lot of research and this was the best buy for the price, since it includes 2 T5 flourescent lights ($15 each alone), which she needed for the desert plants. They are doing very well. Bougainvillea and rose are both recuperating with A LOT of new growth after the frost (rose also had spider mites, but it's happy now!). Tecoma has a nice number of blossoms on it. The product is sturdier than we anticipated and I have to say, the two bulb reflector is perfect. The option to have the stand was a lifesaver because we rent and didn't want to install the hanging lamp. This product works well and was easy to put together. She is happy, and we are definitely pleasantly surprised after reading these reviews. I think it's a great setup and I highly recommend for indoor plant growing.

iPower GLT5XXX4B2 TWO Bulb Unit
Just set this unit up last week and it is PERFECT for starting seeds. I already have lettuce coming up! The height of the light fixture is easily adjustable for taller plants, too. I plan to use it year-round for seed starting for both spring/summer and then for fall vegetable crops, too. It will be ideal for keeping full grown potted herbs thriving during the winter.A word to those who, like me, don't like the foreboding sound of "assembly necessary": it is a BREEZE to put together. From unpacking to complete setup, it took, maybe, 15 minutes. It is also lightweight enough to move around if needed (but definitely draw the light fixture up as close to the top of the frame before you do). It's every bit what the description says.

Lacking Quality Control
I decided to wait a week before posting a review, to work out any kinks, such that I am able to provide real and honest feedback.Straight out of the box, setup was a breeze, The stand comes in 5 pieces with the adjustment chords already attached and you just have to twist the light bulbs into the reflective hood after removing the plastic pieces covering the electrodes. Hold the bulbs firmly and twist until you hear the click. I was confused by all the reviews which stated that setup wasn't easy. I'm going to chalk that up to human error. Also, I received a full page of semi-poorly written assembly instructions, that I ended up just tossing aside after observing the pieces and figuring out what goes where. After plugging it in and toggling the simply designed on/off switch, there was a 2-3 second delay before the lights actually turned on. Initially I was concerned about that, but after one week in use, with the lights on for 12 hrs/day; start up delay aside, the lights function well.Quality Control Issues:After fully assembling the unit and attempting to adjust the height of the reflective hood with lights attached, the entire light assembly fell out of the top tube frame. I was beside myself because I thought I may have tugged on it too aggressively. However upon further inspection, the top tube frame wasn't even welded together, thus any amount of tension causes it to fall out, rendering the height adjustment function useless. Since I had already waited over a month, plus a mysterious cancellation (on amazon's part) and my seedlings were suffering, I decided to snap the two pieces of the top tube frame back together and wrap it with some packaging tape. When readjusting the height of the hood, it helps if you hold the hood itself with one hand to relieve some of the tension while pulling on the cord adjustment clip simultaneously. Adjusting the height of the light soon becomes quite a cumbersome process that requires 3 hands. But once again, my unit is faulty.Although I hadn't noticed it initially, the hood also is missing a screw, which to the untrained eye would be an oversight, but for someone who's assembling these for a living, it's blatant. So far, the lack of a screw hasn't proved to be detrimental, but...c'mon!If anything else goes wrong, I'll update accordingly.
