Will the software work on Windows 7 and 8 32 and 64 bit versions?

I used Windows 7 on my computer. I really like the carousels. We have 8 for our Blu-Rays, DVD's, and CD's. My husband has formatted our library and the movies and music are easy to find. I'm unsure about the 32/64 bit versions. Hope this helped.

my unit got stuck. The display flashes on "505" Wbat can I do to free it up?

This is a common problem with these units. Unfortunately, the quick fixes that the company website offered is just that a quick and very short lived fix. If it's a new unit they will repair it for free. I contacted the company several times and they replaced it one time but after several months the same problem returned. I finally some them on eBay for as-is.

I am looking for a carousel that I can store my Blu Ray discs in, but I want to be able to operate it with an IPad, does anyone know any?

The above carousel is great but the models I have are operated manually and although you can have your library on your computer (windows) and a usb connection to select a disc, I use a printed list. Cyberguys will have more info on model features. Good box though.

does it play dvds and cd

As a storage device it doesn't play anything. It would be good for CD &/o DVD storage.
