Very sturdy, great quality!
This is exactly what I was looking for. Lightweight, yet sturdy. It looks and feels like a quality piece. It was a little weird to put together due to the directions, but once I got the hang of it, it came out great.I plan on keeping it visible in my family room so I use it. I don't think it looks awful like other equipment might. The wood bars are very smooth. The metal bars are solid. Both wood bars adjust up and down. I used my own wrench to tighten some of the bolts. The four corner bars were a little wonky to line up, but if you pull the side bar up a little, they will line up well.Be careful with your fingers because the pieces are very solid and while pushing them into the connectors, you might slip as the connectors are tight even after loosening the wing nuts also if the wing nuts aren't tightening, look for the nut. It may not be in the hole but in the pile of parts next to you.

Wonderful Ballet Barre
First of all, I would highly recommend it! The barre is very high quality. It was easy to put together, and also easy to take down to store or travel with. I am pleased with our purchase. (:

Good barre, difficult to assemble
The media could not be loaded. This is a good barre for beginners or experienced dancers wanting additional practice. I have danced for 35 years and have encountered many barres of different material and quality. The price is great and it comes packaged pretty well- some pieces were missing their plastic and were scratches, but that didn't affect functionality.Assembly was a little difficult on step two as the pieces were very difficult to line up. When you attach the diagonal piece to the upright piece first I found it slightly easier to then attach to the bottom. The barre is sturdy, but has a little sway left to right. The bars are easy to adjust up and down and don't spin when you hold onto them.I don't see this being very portable as the base is the most difficult part to get straight and aligned. The bonus elastic strap is nice and seems to be good quality.Overall great purchase for the price and will be great for in-home ballet lessons for my daughter.

Missing hardware
Love the Quality just haven't been able to use it due to a missing hardware to tighten the knobs.

Barre itself was fine in the end, but packaging was horrible and customer support non-existent
Whereas the Barre itself was fine in the end, the packaging was horrible and customer support was non-existent. I am pretty sure that we were sent a used unit. Items were out of their protective plastic, there was no material to cushion the parts, and therefore parts were scratched and chipped. Plus, items were marked as if they had been assembled and disassembled previously. Messages to the company prompted no reply or assistance. So, the barre I would give 4 stars, the company I would give less than one star. If you purchase this, LOOK IT OVER CAREFULLY and simply return it if anything looks to be out of place, since you won't get any support from the manufacturer.

Fabulous
I bought 2- 1 for each Daughter. They are as sturdy as the bars at ballet class and my girls use them daily for practice. Great price- great product!

Decent but not great
I've used this barre for five months now so that I could give it a solid review. First off, the assembly was fairly simple, but the clamps the wood dowels fit into were not tight at all, even when screwing the bolts in as tightly as possible. When I move it to my dance area, if I'm not careful, the dowels will pop outThe dowels themselves were warped right out of the box. There is a slight curvature to each of them, but one was significantly more pronounced -- I checked with a level to confirm.Third, the base is not stable enough for home use. Granted, one should not rely on the barre in practice, but it still wobbles when grabbing it for things like losing balance in a grand plié. It has been more stable for things like an arabesque. If the bottom had more weight to it, it would be more stable.Overall, it's not terrible for a cheap barre. It's been enough to get this beginner started and good for general at home practice. I would suggest that if one buys this to add weights to the base and be prepared to use zip ties around the clamps to keep the dowels in place.Side note: I really wish I'd bought a better barre. Ah well. -Jamie
