Exactly the Hydration I Need
I have trouble staying hydrated, so I used to drink Kinderlyte every day. A few weeks ago I just couldn’t make myself choke down any more bland stevia water. I looked for alternatives, and this was a clear winner. No stevia or flavoring, just hydration salts. It uses dextrose to help with absorption, which is important for me. I had elevated liver enzymes a few years back, and my liver specialist advised me to reduce the levels of processed fructose in my diet. I followed his advice and now my levels are perfectly healthy. One of the most common sources of processed fructose is what we usually call sugar (sucrose). Sucrose is a disaccharide of glucose and fructose. I can’t have it regularly without damaging my liver. Dextrose is just glucose. Luckily, dextrose is also better for absorption (the guidelines that I found for oral rehydration salts said that sucrose should only be used if dextrose/glucose is not available). It seems strange to me that you don’t see it in more often in rehydration salts. My favorite way to drink this is to mix it with warm water, Hotta’s sugar free instant ginger tea powder, collagen peptides and a bit of extra dextrose (I like modernist pantry’s version because it dissolves very easily). It makes a nice gingery broth that is warm, spicy and very comforting. Since I use it every day, it would be nice if it were a bit less expensive, but even at this price I’ll definitely keep buying it. Hopefully they don’t reformulate it and ruin it by adding fake sweeteners or sucrose!

Tastes disgusting, works the best.
We laugh that this tastes like brackish water but my daughter needs rehydration salts for a medical condition. Her doctor first recommended this and we add Young Life essential oil drink drops to it. She can actually feel the difference between brands and this seems to work the most efficiently and last the longest in her system. We like that longterm she's not ingesting any flavours or colours and is calibrated and tested unlike other products with similar claims. It's easy to carry and if she doesn't have a flavour enhancer, she just chugs it down. We haven't tried their flavoured products.

NormaLyte is a lifesaver for people with pots
I constantly have NormLyte in my water bottle as the Pure flavor is the best I've come across! It's such a light flavor already, that I can put 2 sticks in my 26oz water bottle. Salt is so important to people with pots, and I've not found another formula that has such low sugar and high sodium content! Speaking of... I just read on NormaLyte's blog today about the difference between Sodium and Salt. If you aren't understanding when your doctor is saying 3-10 GRAMS of salt a day, that doesn't mean 3,000-10,000mg of sodium! I didn't know that! (Hint: 5 GRAMS of SALT is equal to 2000 MILLIGRAMS of SODIUM) 🤯 There's a link to a handy calculator on the blog. I'm not paid to write this and I don't get free product; (Normalyte sponsor me!) I'm just your average person with dysautonomia that tells every one of my providers about normalyte, the research that backs the product, and how they should recommend it to every provider they know and all the patients that they've ever had. It works!
This is the third time I purchased this because it actually makes a difference. It doesn’t taste great but it’s the only electrolytes that actually help with my POTS symptoms. I don’t like the flavored stuff and sweetness all the time. So I Am definitely able to drink this more often than the flavored ones. But I would be lying if I say it tastes good. It does taste better with ice and more water than the recommended amount.

Nice light taste, hydrates well
I was used to flavored version of electrolyte powders but was pleasantly surprised that I appreciated the more neutral taste of this one. It has a slight saltiness when mixed as directed, but not overwhelming. I can even tolerate it just fine a bit more concentrated. I have found it dissolves more quickly if I use a couple teaspoons of slightly warm water at the start and then add colder water to finish.

Favorite electrolyte for hEDS, POTS symptoms
GAME CHANGER for POTS and hEDS symptoms. The plain version has no artificial sweeteners and my body now craves it every day, if I forget my body reminds me. Dissolves easily in water, helps my energy levels and hydration and seems to prevent some of typical muscle cramps and such that us zebras get.

They work!
These electrolytes really work! My doctor told me to use electrolytes to help with fatigue. I was skeptical but they genuinely help with my energy levels. I can’t stand stevia and these have none. The taste is slightly sweet and slightly salty. Also most electrolytes I’ve tried make my stomach hurt, so if you have a sensitive stomach like me, and also hate stevia, then give these a try.

Don’t feel this product is value for money. As a result I couldn’t take it long enough to feel any effect. Very expensive .
