I was installing a new tiled shower and needed to make 12 holes in the ceramic tiles to install a beefy sliding glass door system. I bought the 10-pack. These work great for the first hole or 2, then it was a little slower going. Since I had 10 and for the price, I just swapped out for a new one after every other one. They still have some life, but it just made the job go a little faster. I would definitely recommend these and could not have completed the job without them. I think these could be used dry, but I did squirt them with water throughout to keep them a little cooler.

Figured if I used all the bits to get through the porcelain tile it would be fine. I only used 2 bits but probably could have used just one. They absolutely live up to the decription. Even appreciated the depth markings to be sure I got through the tile and backer board.They come in a handy plastic case. Just follow the reviews here or watch YouTube videos on how to use a diamond bit. I taped the tile to keep the bit from walking, started slow at a 45 degree angle, then straighten and occasionally dipped in water. I also taped a baggie under the hole to catch the dust. The bits are well marked, durable, get the job done and no hype. You won't be disappointed - great price too!

I bought these to drill holes in porcelain plates to make tiered cake stands. You definitely need these diamond-coated drill bits to drill porcelain - I tried carbide tips, and they took FOREVER and then cracked my plate at the last minute. These work much better and get through the plates cleanly and in a reasonable amount of time. Use water on the surface you are cutting. I'm really surprised at the variable quality. With the first four tips in the packet, I was able to drill 1-2 plates before the coating wore off the tip. Oddly, the last one has cut four plates and still looks almost new. Not sure why they were so variable and too bad they could not all be more durable, since it does feel wasteful to only be able to drill 1-2 plates with the other bits.

I was a bit skeptical when I bought these and took the chance assuming I might need to return them. I followed the directions and angled initially to start the cut then straightened to perpendicular to the surface after starting the hole. I was able to drill right through ceramic tile so I could install mounting brackets in showers. These bits are unconventional but work like a charm!

I love these! I used them to put drainage holes in my planters, now I can pick out any cute pots I want without having to be disappointed when they don’t have drainage holes! Well worth the $$, easy to use, only takes about a minute to put a hole through plastic, ceramic, terra cotta. I haven’t had anything crack or break, and I’ve used it on >20 pots so far.

These are a must if you're drilling holes in porcelain tile. Quick and easy, but they are only good for drilling 1 - 2 holes each, so you definitely need the ten pack.

Never work in granite and lose the bit in first use
